Corcoran community supports historic school

The North Hennepin Pioneer Society organized Burschville School Summerfest, held Aug. 20, with assistance from numerous area businesses, organizations, individuals and the Corcoran Police Department. The event is a major fundraiser that enables the society to operate and maintain the one-room school, which is a historic building. Pictured in front of the school are society volunteers involved with this year’s Summerfest. Summerfest featured tours of the school, a flea market, prize drawings, music by the Jolly Jammers, food from the Those Pork Chops food truck, a face painter, clowns, kids games and freebies.
