Music studio opens in Osseo

Igniting a passion in music and providing the skills needed to enjoy music for a lifetime is the mission of Spark Music Studio in Osseo.

Spark recently opened at 240 Central Ave. in Osseo.

Nick Tucker, piano and drum teacher at Spark, the building was renovated to bring it back to the mid 1900s charm with a modern touch.

“Our vision for our studio was to create a Northeast Minneapolis recording studio feel, hire professional musicians with extensive touring, recording, and teaching experience, and provide fun and exciting music lessons,” he said. “Students walk in and are immediately inspired to learn and play music, but even more than music lessons, we want to bring a sense of ‘revitalization’ to Osseo.”

Spark is an award-winning music school that offers private music lessons in piano, guitar, viola, violin, ukulele, voice, drums and bass. Tucker said the studio tailors each lesson personally for the student.

“Age, experience, personality, and learning style are all things we take into consideration to individualize the lesson, and we have teachers who teach the way the student wants to learn,” he added.

With experience in pop, jazz, rock, blues, and classical, the teachers able to teach the style the student is interested in.

To its mission to ignite passion, Spark does this by “hiring professional musicians with extensive touring, recording, and teaching experience, and provide fun and exciting music lessons.”

There are several teachers available throughout the day. This saves parents time because they can schedule lessons for multiple kids at the same time. They also have sound proofed rooms to minimize distraction and optimize learning experience.
