The STMA boys track and field runners took home first prize at the True Team section meet in Brainerd.
The boys got team wins in the 4×800 meter relay (8:27.14), the 4×200 meter relay (1:33.80), and the 4×400 meter relay (3:30.50).
Plenty of individuals performed well for the Knights. STMA only had a few individuals take first place, such as Mitchell Kartes in the 200 meter dash (22.91) and Xavier Thurman in the triple jump (43-01.25) and high jump (6-00.00), but plenty of top-five finishes meant the Knights earned the most points.
Alexandria managed to top the STMA Lady Knights, but there were still plenty of solid performances.
Anna Keefer’s season continued to gain steam as she once again won the 100 (12.06), the 200 (24.79), the triple jump (36-03.50), and set a record in the long jump (20-01.25).
The girls’ relay teams also performed well, as the 4×200 (1:47.28) and 4×100 (51.84) teams each won.
Annalise Davis won the 1600 meter run (5:14.11) and the 800 meter run (2:23.80), and Lexie Nelson (5-04.00) took first in the high jump.
The Knights had a “last chance” meet on Tuesday. Monticello hosts the conference championship meet Thursday.
