Knights beat Osseo in thrilling fashion in regular season finale

STMA played a rescheduled game on May 24 and defeated the Osseo Orioles 3-2 in ten innings. The win snapped a brief two-game losing streak and helped the Knights end the regular season on a positive note.

After the Orioles claimed a 2-0 lead in the third inning, STMA responded in the bottom of the fourth with two runs of its own to tie the score.
Dylan Fox had three hits for the Knights and Levi Falde also had a pair. Travis Brown pulled double duty, pitching nine innings and then delivering the game-winning hit in the bottom of the tenth inning.
Kyle Hayden pitched the tenth for the Knights and got the victory when Brown got his big hit.
The Knights earned the #2 seed in Section 8AAAA for their regular season efforts. STMA turned right around and played Osseo again in the first game of the section playoffs on Tuesday. The winner would move on to play either Elk River or Rogers and enter the double elimination portion of the playoffs on Thursday.
STMA finished the regular season with a record of 14-6 and another Mississippi 8 championship.
