‘Hunting Shack Christmas’
NOW TO DEC. 27 — Yellow Tree Theatre, 320 Fifth Ave. S.E. in Osseo, will again be performing it’s “A Hunting Shack for Christmas.” Performances run Nov. 13 through Dec. 27 on Tuesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m. “A Hunting Shack for Christmas” was written by Jessica Lind Peterson and directed by Jason Peterson.
NOV. 26 — The Osseo-Maple Grove Legion Riders will host a Thanksgiving Dinner Thursday, Nov. 26, with all the fixings. The dinner will be served from noon to 4 p.m. at the Osseo-Maple Grove American Legion, 260 Fourth Ave. S.E. in Osseo. The cost is $12 for adults, $8 for kids ages 5 to 12 and free for kids ages 5 and under. The funds raised go to support a variety of different veteran organizations within the community and state. NOV. 29 — Wondering how to help women around the world. Come Sunday, Nov. 29, from noon to 5 p.m. at 9528 Rosewood Lane N. in Maple Grove at Pam’s home. Enjoy a cup of chai tea, treats and shop for items they are made by women at risk of human trafficking and HIV/AIDS. Hand made items from India, Nepal, Rwanda and Zimbabwe. Jayanthi Kyle, a Maple Grove Senior High graduate, has a new CD release Gospel Machine Your Holy Ghost at 2 p.m. she will have a mini concert at the event. All are welcome.
Eat, Drink, Give at Maynard’s
NOV. 30 — Eat, Drink, & Give at Maynard’s Restaurant, located at 21415 136th Ave. in Rogers, Monday, Nov. 30, to support CROSS Services. During the event, 100 percent of food and beverage sales will be donated to CROSS Services. Takeout orders are encouraged and will be included in the donation. DEC. 5 — The Maple Grove Community Organization will host Breakfast/Lunch with Santa Saturday, Dec. 5, at the Maple Grove Community Center, 12951 Weaver Lake Road. Breakfast is from 8:30 to 10 a.m. and costs $4 for breakfast pastries, fruit and juice or milk. Lunch is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is $6 for pizza, pop and cookies. Bring a camera. Sleigh Bells & Sparkle Parade
DEC. 5 — The annual Sleigh Bells & Sparkle Parade will be Saturday, Dec. 5, at 5 p.m. along Main Street. Parade units with colored lights travel along the parade route with Santa at the end. Santa will light the tree at the Maple Grove Government Center. The Maple Grove Community Organization, Arbor Lakes Business Association and Maple Grove businesses host this event.
Imara International Annual Gala
DEC. 6 — Imara International’s 2015 Holiday Gala Fundraiser is slated for Sunday, Dec. 6, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Rush Creek Golf Club in Maple Grove. Dinner will be served. There will be a silent auction and other opportunities to support Imara. A program hosted by Cindy Hillger will include, Carol Erickson, Executive Director, sharing the latest news on Imara and keynote speaker Sue Badeau, a nationally known speaker, writer and consultant with a hear for the children and families. Imara provides teenage mothers the opportunity to be educated and learn marketable skills to become a self-sufficient community to providing for themselves and their children.
