To the Editor:
Readers may have seen the obituary of my husband, Dale Emmans, in the Press. Dale was an Osseo guy, and that was evident in the long line of people who came to this visitation and memorial service at St. Paul’s Lutheran. People from his OHS class of 1952, my class of ‘55, and our daughters’ OHS classes as well, Main Street business people and store employees, neighbors, former neighbors, the chief of police, parents of former students, our church family — all waited in incredibly long lines to pay their respects.
Our children’s colleagues and friends could not believe the crowd. We said, “You live in one town for almost your whole life; you belong to a loving neighborhood church, this is what happens.”
Does it happen everywhere? We don’t know. What we do know is that it happened in Osseo, and it was sweet!
