Scouting for Food Drive successful

CROSSscoutHelpCROSS Service appreciates the community’s support, especially the Scouts who brought food to the local food shelf Saturday, April 26. Scouts started canvassing their neighborhoods at 9:30 a.m., later delivered and sorted over three tons of food.

CROSS individually acknowledges the troops that helped in the warehouse to take in food. Packs and Troops from: Dayton, Corcoran, Maple Grove, Osseo and Rogers helped.

Food donations decrease in the summer months. These food drives help build reserves to insure the families are served through the summer months.

CROSS, located in Rogers, has been in existence for more than 30 years. CROSS is now servicing approximately 600 families monthly across the programs. CROSS is supported by community donations from business, churches, individuals, schools, foundations and civic organizations.
