NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
SHINGLE CREEK WATERSHED MANAGEMENT COMMISSION
WEST MISSISSIPPI WATERSHED MANAGEMENT COMMISSION

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Notice is hereby given that the Shingle Creek Watershed Management Commission and the West Mississippi Watershed Management Commission will meet at Lancer at Edinburgh, 8700 Edinbrook Crossing, Brooklyn Park, MN, on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at approximately 12:45 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, for a public meeting on a proposed management plan amendment.
Description: Minor Plan Amendment to the Shingle Creek/West Mississippi Third Generation Watershed Management Plan.
The Shingle Creek and West Mississippi Watershed Management Commissions propose to amend their joint Third Generation Watershed Management Plan to adopt a revision to the 2014 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). This revision amends the estimated cost of one proposed project, and provides more description and detail about the proposed project.
The proposed minor plan revision is shown as additions (underlined) or deletions (strike outs) to Table 4.5, Shingle Creek WMC Third Generation Plan Implementation Plan, and Appendix F, CIP Descriptions, of the Management Plan.

Table 4.5, Shingle Creek WMC Third Generation Plan Implementation Plan is hereby revised as follows:

Appendix F, CIP Descriptions is hereby revised as follows:

Plymouth Bass Lake Pond
Plymouth will construct a detention basin or a combination of BMPs such as a flocculation treatment facility at the south end of Bass Lake to reduce phosphorus load to Bass Lake. The Bass Lake TMDL calls for a 33 percent reduction in load to Bass Lake to meet state water quality standards, or about 200 pounds TP annually from the watershed.

The Shingle Creek watershed includes parts of the cities of Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Crystal, Maple Grove, Minneapolis, New Hope, Osseo, Plymouth and Robbinsdale. The West Mississippi watershed includes parts of the cities of Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Champlin, Maple Grove and Osseo.
