ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
2014 Parks Paving Project
MAPLE GROVE, MINNESOTA
BIDS CLOSE: 10:00 am, April 30, 2014
Sealed bids will be received by the City of Maple Grove, Minnesota, in the Government Center at 12800 Arbor Lakes Parkway until 10:00 am on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud, for the furnishing of all labor and materials and all else necessary for improvements, consisting primarily of the following estimated quantities:
- 6130 LF reclaim and repave bituminous trail
- 1884 SY remove and replace bituminous court
- 3188 SY remove and replace bituminous parking lot (2)
All work is located within the city of Maple Grove, Minnesota.
Plans and specifications, proposal forms, and contract documents may be viewed at the office of the Maple Grove Department of Parks & Recreation 12951 Weaver Lake Road Maple Grove, Minnesota, 55369.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a bidders bond naming the City of Maple Grove as obligee, certified check payable to the Clerk of the City of Maple Grove, or a cash deposit equal to at least five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, which shall be forfeited to the City in the event that the bidder fails to enter into a contract.
The City of Maple Grove reserves the right to retain the deposits of the three lowest bidders for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days after the date and time set for the opening of the bids. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the date and time set for the opening of the bids.
Payment for the work will be by cash or check.
Bids shall be on the forms provided for that purpose and according to the Contract documents prepared by the City of Maple Grove.

All bidders for the contract, including subcontractors and suppliers that have 20 or more full-time employees, shall submit a certified copy of their current Affirmative Action Certificate with their bid.
The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities herein, and to award the contract to the best interests of the City.
