Osseo Police

The following is a synopsis of some of the incidents that occurred in the city of Osseo from March 7, 2014 through March 20, 2014.

Arrests:

Osseo Police arrested a 21-year-old woman from Ramsey on an outstanding Hennepin County felony narcotics warrant and felony possession of illegal narcotics on March 7 on the 100 block of Central Avenue. She was booked at the Hennepin County Jail.

Osseo Police arrested a 29-year-old Maple Grove man on March 7 for gross misdemeanor third degree refusal to test and misdemeanor fourth degree DWI. He was booked at the Brooklyn Park Police Department.

Osseo Police arrested a 19-year-old Osseo woman on March 8 on Central Avenue & 93rd Avenue for driving without a Minnesota license. She was released with a citation.

Osseo Police arrested a 29-year-old Maple Grove woman on March 10 for gross misdemeanor giving false information to a Police Officer and driving after suspension. She was booked at the Hennepin County Jail.

Osseo Police arrested a 34-year-old Maple Grove man on March 10 for driving after suspension and no proof of insurance on the 10800 block of 93rd Avenue. He was released with a citation.

Osseo Police arrested a 17-year-old Maple Grove teen on March 13 for bringing a prohibited item to school. He was transported home and released to his parents. The case has been forwarded to the Hennepin County Juvenile Court.

Osseo Police arrested a 17-year-old teen male from Osseo on March 14 on the 300 block of Eighth Avenue S.E. for possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of other drug paraphernalia. His parents were notified and he was released back to school. The case has been forwarded to Hennepin County Juvenile Court.

Osseo Police arrested a 26-year-old Maple Grove man for second degree DWI on March 19. He was booked at the Hennepin County Jail in Minneapolis. His vehicle was also impounded and is being held for vehicle for forfeiture.

Incidents:

A theft of checks and driver license was reported to Osseo Police on March 13 on the 200 block of Second Avenue N.W.

An Osseo resident reported damage to her car on March 13 on the 100 block of Sixth Street N.W. It is unknown where the damage actually occurred. Several photos of the damaged car were taken and the victim was advised to call her insurance company.

Osseo Police received a found child compliant on the 300 block of Central Avenue on March 15. The juvenile female apparently wandered away from home. She was brought back home and released to a guardian.

Osseo Police responded to the Holiday Station on Central Avenue on March 15 for a vehicle that had struck a pile of firewood in front of the building then fled. A possible suspect has been identified and the case has been forwarded to the City Attorney for possible charges.

A noise disturbance was reported to Osseo Police on March 16 on the 600 block of Second Street S.E. The case has also been forwarded to the City Attorney for possible charges.

A theft of a cell phone was reported stolen from the Osseo Senior High on March 19. The case is under investigation by Osseo Police and the School Liaison Officer.

Medicals:

Osseo Police responded to a 86-year-old female having a possible heart attack on the 50 block of Sixth Street N.E. She was transported to North Memorial Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 34-year-old male having a possible heart attack on the 50 block of Sixth Street N.W. on March 10. He was transported to North Memorial Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 84-year-old female that had fallen and injured her knee and hip on the March 10 on the 600 block of Central Avenue. She was transported to North Memorial Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 58-year-old diabetic female with high blood sugar on the 600 block of North Oaks Drive on March 15. She was transported to Mercy Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 52-year-old unconscious male on the 300 block of Seventh Avenue S.E. on March 16. The male was alert and conscious when emergency services arrived and he declined transport to the hospital.

Osseo Police responded to a 67-year -old female that had fallen and injured her shoulder on the 100 block of Seventh Avenue S.E. on March 17. She was transported to North Memorial Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 69-year-old male feeling ill on the 50 block of Sixth Street N.E. on March 19. He was transported to Mercy Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 92-year-old female that fell on the 600 block of Central Avenue on March 20. She was transported to North Memorial Hospital by North Ambulance.

Accidents:

Osseo Police responded to a one-vehicle property damage accident on the 100 block of Central Avenue on March 10. A state accident report was filed.

Osseo Police responded to a two-car property damage accident on the 8800 block of Jefferson Highway on March 10. A state accident report was filed.
