Maple Grove students perform to raise money for ALS

More than 70 Maple Grove Senior High singers, instrumentalists and members of the dance and hockey teams lent their talents to present, “Perform to Defeat ALS” Saturday, March 1, at 7 p.m. at the MGSH Auditorium. Maple Grove senior Elliot Britt is the creator and director of this charity event, and will donate its proceeds to the ALS Association.

After raising $3,000 for Make A Wish with a charity benefit concert, Elliot Britt, a senior at Maple Grove Senior High, arranged this event.

Last year, after realizing how great it was to be part of a Make A Wish fundraising promotion at Coldstone Creamery, where he worked, Britt decided to combine his desire to give back with his acting talents.

Britt has created and directed the program and has already identified someone to carry on the tradition after he graduates.
