60s Motown Party
MARCH 1 — “60s Motown Party” is the theme of this year’s Delano Chamber of Commerce banquet, set for Saturday, March 1, at B’s on the River, 1455 County Road 27 in Watertown. At the event, the chamber will honor Rieder’s Meat Market as 2014 Delano Business of the Year. A party hour from 6 to 7 p.m. will be followed by an all you can eat buffet from 7 to 8 p.m. Entertainment will be provided from 6 to 11 p.m. Tickets will cost $15 per person or $25 per couple. MARCH 10 — Adults and teens are invited to a program titled Minnesota History Digitally at the Rockford Public Library on Monday, March 10, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. It will be presented by the Rockford Area Historical Society and highlight some of the best archives and resources on the Internet to make research more successful. Participants will be invited to discuss the type of information they seek. This program is funded in part with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
