CROSS families obtain toys for the holidays

On Saturday, Dec. 21 CROSS Food Shelf distributed toys to 344 families and approximately 860 children were provided toys. The event took place at Lord of Life Church in Maple Grove and CROSS appreciates Lord of Life for hosting and helping make this a successful day.

This event would not have been possible without the help from the churches, businesses, individual donors, schools and organizations who donated toys for CROSS to help these families.

In addition to the toys donated, CROSS was able to provide children with a stocking filled with small toys with their name written on it. The Marines Toys for Tots program was one of the contributors and CROSS appreciates their assistance in providing them with toys.

CROSS provides food, clothing, seasonal children’s programs, limited financial assistance and Meals on Wheels to families living in the communities of Maple Grove, Osseo, west Champlin, Rogers, Dayton and Corcoran.

CROSS, now located in Rogers, has been in existence for more than thirty years. It is the only food shelf that services Osseo, Maple Grove, west Champlin, Rogers, Dayton and Corcoran. CROSS is now servicing approximately 600 families monthly. Primarily a volunteer organization, CROSS is supported by community donations from businesses, churches, schools and organizations in the area.
