Osseo Police

The following is a synopsis of some of the incidents that occurred in the city of Osseo from Nov. 29, 2013 through Dec. 12, 2013.

Arrests:

Osseo Police participated in a multi jurisdictional DWI enforcement detail in Hennepin County on Nov. 30 and arrested a 30-year-old Hopkins man for DWI. He was booked at the Hennepin County jail and his vehicle was impounded.

Osseo Police responded to a report of a person slumped over behind the wheel of a car on Dec. 7 on the 200 block of Third Ave. S.E. Police learned the 57-year-old Osseo man behind the wheel was intoxicated and had passed out after driving home. He was arrested and booked at the Hennepin County Jail for DWI. His vehicle was impounded and is being held for seizure.

Osseo Police stopped a 28-year-old Brooklyn Park woman for a traffic violation on County Road 81 near 85th Ave. on Dec. 7. Police learned the driver was driving under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested and booked at the Brooklyn Park Police Department for DWI.

Incidents:

A theft of a tailgate from a pickup truck was reported stolen to Osseo Police on Nov. 29 from the 200 block of Sixth Ave. S.E. There are no suspects or evidence left behind.

A theft of a $1,700 coin was reported stolen from a business on Dec. 3 on the 600 block of Central Ave. The theft was documented on surveillance camera footage from the business. The suspect was identified pawning the coin at a pawn shop in Crystal later the same day. The coin has been returned and the case is under investigation by the Osseo Police Department and Hennepin County Sheriff Detectives.

A theft of a license plate was reported to Osseo Police on Dec. 5 from the 200 block of Central Ave. The plate has been entered into a nationwide database as stolen.

A theft of a utility trailer was reported to Osseo Police on Dec. 11 on the 600 block of Sixth Ave. N.E. The trailer has been entered into a nationwide data base as a listed stolen.

Osseo Police responded to the Osseo Senior High School for a narcotics issue on Dec. 11. The case is under investigation by Osseo Police and the School Liaison Detective.

A noise disturbance on the 600 block of North Oaks Drive was reported to Osseo Police on Dec. 11. Officers advised the resident to keep the noise down. There are no charges.

Medicals:

Osseo Police responded to a 71-year-old female having trouble breathing on Nov. 29 on the 500 block of Second Street S.E. She was transported to North Memorial Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 58-year-old female having a possible stroke on Nov. 30 on the 500 block of Second Street S.E. She was transported to the Maple Grove Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to an 82-year-old female having a possible stroke on Dec. 1 on the 300 block of Fourth Ave. N.E. Police had to force their way thru a locked house to access the patient. She was transported to Mercy Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 95-year-old female having a possible heart attack on Dec. 4 on the 50 block of Sixth Street N.E. She was transported to the Maple Grove Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 45-year-old male that had a snow plow blade fall on his foot on Dec. 10th on the 100 block of First Ave. N.W. He was transported to North Memorial Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 95-year -old female having severe pain on Dec. 10 on the 500 block of Second Street S.E. She was transported to the Maple Grove Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 31-year-old male having a seizure on Dec. 11 on the 500 block of Central Ave. He was transported to the Maple Grove Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 58-year-old female having a stroke on Dec. 12 on the 500 block of Second Street S.E. She was transported to the Maple Grove Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 82-year-old male that fell down on Dec. 12 on the 600 block of Fifth Ave. N.E.

Accidents:

Osseo Police responded to a two-car property damage accident on Dec. 2 near the Osseo-Maple Grove American Legion. Both drivers exchanged information and a state accident report was filed.

Osseo Police responded to a two-car property damage accident on Dec. 4 on the 300 block of Seventh Street N.W. The accident appeared to have been caused by poor weather conditions. Both drivers exchanged information and a state accident report was filed.

Osseo Police responded to a two-car property damage accident on Dec. 5 on the 100 block of Central Ave. Both vehicle owners exchanged information. Both vehicle had light damage and did not need to be towed. A state accident report was filed.
