Arrests

Corcoran Police reported a narcotics arrest Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 3:49 p.m. at 78XX block of Maple Hill Rd. Arrested was Southone Billy Khamvongsa, 22, of Corcoran for possession of an illegal substance and drug paraphernalia.

Property damage

The department reported a personal injury auto crash Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 7:47 a.m. in the area of County Rd. 30 and County Rd. 19. Driver #1 was stopped on County Rd. 30 at the stop sign waiting to make a left turn to go south on County Rd. 19. Driver #1 made a left turn in front of driver #2 and was struck broadside by driver #2. Driver #1 failed to yield the right of way to driver #2. Driver #1 was transported to North Memorial Medical Center by North Ambulance.

The department reported a property damage auto crash Saturday, Nov. 23 at 5:35 p.m. in the area of County Rd. 10 and County Rd. 101. The driver reported that a deer had struck the right side of their vehicle. The Officer observed a small dent in the right front fender and damage to the right mirror where the deer had collided with the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Medicals

The department responded to a medical emergency Monday, Nov. 18 at 5:27 p.m. in the 214XX block of Circle La. An 83 year old male was having chest pains. The patient was transported to Abbott Hospital by North Ambulance.

The department responded to a medical emergency Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 4:01 a.m. in the 78XX block of Maple Hill Rd. A 72 year old male was having difficulty breathing. The patient was transported to Maple Grove Hospital by North Ambulance.

The department responded to a medical emergency Thursday, Nov. 21 at 7:21 a.m. in the 78XX block of Maple Hill Rd. A 43 year old female was having difficulties. The patient was placed on a medical welfare hold.

Miscellaneous

The department responded to a report of harassment on Monday, Nov. 18 at 9:16 a.m. in the 200XX block of Dassel La. The reporting party stated an unknown suspect(s) called their cell phone and states they are watching them and they know their password. The reporting party does not know who it may be. They are changing their security information at home and work. There are no identifiable suspects at this time.

The department responded to a report of a suspicious act on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 11:01 a.m. in the 201XX block of County Rd. 10. The reporting party stated they had received two phone calls from an unknown suspect stating they were from Xcel Energy and if they did not pay their bill, they would turn their power off in 45 minutes. The caller hung up both times when the reporting party stated they did not have Xcel Energy for power.

The department responded to a report of a verbal domestic on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 7:42 p.m. in the 78XX block of Maple Hill Rd. The reporting party stated they would like the father of their children removed from the residence. The Officers could hear yelling upon arrival at the residence. The children’s father was advised to leave and not return to the residence for the night. The parties separated for the night.

The department responded to a report of a suspicious act on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 9:15 p.m. in the 108XX block of Trail Haven Rd. The reporting party stated there was someone at the end of their driveway going through their mail. The vehicle then left westbound on County Rd. 117. Officers attempted to locate the suspect vehicle, but it was gone on their arrival.

The department responded to a report of a 911 hang-up call on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 7:44 p.m. in the 238XX block of Pioneer Tr. Dispatch received a 911 call where they could hear people talking. Officers arrived at the residence and found numerous lights on and vehicles in the garage. Officers attempted to make contact with the residents; however no one was in the home. They found a phone had been knocked off the wall near a television set that was on. The homeowner was located outside and they advised they were tending to their horses for the last two hours. All was fine.

The department responded to a report of shots fired on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 8:38 p.m. in the 78XX block of Maple Hill Rd. The reporting party stated there were three or four of what sounded like gun shots heard, possibly from A-street. Officers checked the area and nothing was heard nor located.

The department responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 8:22 p.m. in the area of Cain Rd. and Meister Rd. The Officer was on routine patrol when they observed a vehicle sitting on the side of the road. Officers made contact with the occupants and found they were eating Subway sandwiches and talking. The Officer had them move on so residents in the area do not become alarmed. They complied.

The department responded to a report of a garage fire on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 9:57 p.m. in the 105XX block of County Rd. 116. The reporting party stated the garage was on fire. The garage was an unattached garage and was engulfed in flames on the Officers’ arrival. Rogers, Loretto, Hamel and Hanover Fire Departments assisted in extinguishing the fire. The structure was a total loss. It is unknown at this time what the source of the fire was.
