The Park Center CI adapted soccer team  finished the regular season with an 8-1 record and ended in three-way tie for the conference championship with North Suburban, and Anoka. The Pirates then defeated South Suburban 13-2  last Thursday to qualify for the state tournament for the 17th year.

Kevin Hofer leads the team in scoring with 56 goals and 23 assists. He is one goal shy of making the 100-goal club and should get his 100th goal sometime during the tournament. Aaron Clark was second in scoring with 23 goals and 17 assists. Eighth grader  Paige Faber scored 15 goals and five assists.

Stingy defensive play helped the Pirates outscore opponents 106-33 this season. The defense was anchored by Tasha Feigh, who also dished out 27 assists and broke Christian Brown’s record for career assists mid-season. She currently stands at 146 assists and will no doubt add to that number at the tournament. Tyler Jensen is the most improved player and rarely came off the floor this season.

The stat tournament is Friday and Saturday, Nov. 15, 16, at Stillwater High School. Park Center opens against Stillwater in the quarterfinal Friday, Nov. 15 at 8 p.m.
