Sales to benefit local charities; free burgers for Vets on Nov. 11
The three locations of The 5-8 Club are giving thanks to its customers, local charities and veterans. The entire month of November, guests can gobble up the tasty Turkey Juicy Lucy, a Thanksgiving meal on a bun, complete with stuffing, corn, gravy and cranberry sauce. All proceeds from the special burger will benefit three local charities designated by each restaurant.
Monday, Nov. 11, the 5-8 will offer free burgers to all veterans in honor of Veteran’s Day. This includes dine-in only and specialty Jucy Lucy’s are excluded. Proof of military service is requested.
Turkey Juicy Lucys purchased at the Champlin location will benefit the Community Emergency Assistance Program (CEAP) which is a community-based charity that has partnered with other resources to assist people in need in the Twin Cities area for 40 years.
Other locations are donating proceeds to theJunior League of St. Paul’s “Backpack Buddies Program,” which provides take home food items for students of John A. Johnson Elementary whose primary source of food is the school cafeteria and the Minnehaha Food Shelf, serving more than 1,500 men, women and children each month in the Crosstown area.
The Champlin 5-8 Club is located at 109th & Douglas, 6251 Douglas Court N.
