Champlin city council to meet Sept. 23

The Champlin city council will meet Monday, Sept. 23 in the city council chambers at 7 p.m.

On the agenda for the night, there will be a special presentation regarding the council committee quarterly reports.

The consent agenda includes a rescheduling of the Oct. 14 council meeting to Oct. 15 due to the Columbus Day holiday and a resolution supporting the funding proposal for bicycle trails within the city as part of the Hennepin County 2014 bikeway development participation program.

The city would like to announce that the last farmers market of the season will be held Sept. 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the ice forum parking lot and that City Hall will be closed Monday, Oct. 14 for Columbus Day. The city is holding a council and staff budget work session Monday, Oct. 7 at 5:45 p.m. in the council conference room. There will be a council work session Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 5:45 p.m. and a council meeting will be held Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 7:00 p.m.

Following the regular meeting there is an Economic Development Authority meeting regarding a resolution to begin the Mississippi Crossings demolition.
