Albertville Lions plan annual Extravaganza

Join the Albertville Lions for its 5th Annual Sportsman’s Extravaganza Saturday, Sept. 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event will be at the Crow River Sportsmen’s Club. The venue is located just off County Rd. 116 and Hwy. 241. Some new events this year including a Falcon Education booth, Kid’s Don’t Float booth presented by Cabela’s and a game area for the kids. The Crow River Sportsmen’s Club will also be hosting its Meat Trap Shoot.

Some new vendors this year including KLN Family Brands (featuring snacks for your family and pets), Borg Images (family and pet photography), and more. Will have the popular DNR Laser Shoot, Silent Auction, and Raffle Prizes. Some of the local vendors will be on hand selling custom ear plugs, archery equipment, firearm training, trailers, free chair massages and the fawn petting area.

Admission is free. Food Concessions will be available for sale including the Infamous Trap Shoot Beef Sandwich.

The club is excited to offer great raffle prizes again this year including a 2013 Polaris Sportsman 500 4-Wheeler, Lake of the Woods Guided Walleye Fishing Trip for six people, Archery Packages Pheasant Hunt, Honda Generator, Coborn’s Gift Card and Cash.

Raffle tickets are still only $10 each, and are available by contacting Lion Sharon Edelman at 763-458-5340. Tickets are also available at the Albertville Farmer’s Market, Geez Bar and on the day of the event at the park. The raffle drawing will be held at 4 p.m.

Money raised from the event will be going to provide assistance for area organizations. In the past they have given to the Boy Scouts, Youth Gun Training Programs, wood duck habitat and others.
