Walking to end breast cancer

More than 1,000 participants and their family members gathered Friday, Aug. 23, at Southdale Center in Edina for the opening ceremony of the 10th Susan G. Komen Twin Cities 3-Day. Of the walkers, 120 are breast cancer survivors. The 60-mile walk traveled through Edina, Minneapolis, St. Paul, Maplewood, Roseville, Shoreview and Vadnais Heights over three days.
