Corcoran Police Report

DWIs

Corcoran Police reported a DWI arrest Saturday, August 17 at 12:35 a.m. at Bechtold Rd. and County Rd. 10. Arrested was Ann Michelle Henschell, 44, of Albertville for fourth degree misdemeanor DWI with a .11 BAC.

Property Damage Accident

The department reported a property damage accident Thursday, Aug. 15, at 6:56 a.m. in the area of County Rd. 10 and County Rd. 19.  Vehicle one was traveling north on County Rd. 19 approaching the intersection at County Rd. 10. Vehicle two was stopped at the four-way stop intersection of County Rd. 19 and County Rd. 10 and then preceded through the intersection. Vehicle one failed to stop at the stop sign and struck Vehicle two. No injuries were reported.

The department reported a property damage incident Saturday, Aug. 17 at 10:35 a.m. in the area of 7800 Corcoran Trail W.  Sometime between 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 16 and 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17, an unknown suspect(s) had shot paintballs towards the front of the residence. There were puncture holes in the siding from the paintballs. Damage is estimated at $1,500. The report has been forwarded to the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office for investigation.

The department reported a property damage accident Saturday, Aug. 17 at 10:44 a.m. in the area of County Rd. 50 and Eagle Ridge Rd.  The driver of vehicle one was westbound on County Rd. 50 traveling behind vehicle two. Vehicle two pulled over onto Eagle Ridge Rd. to the right and began to make a U-turn in front of Vehicle one. Vehicle one struck the driver’s side door of vehicle two as vehicle two was making an unsafe U-turn. No injuries were reported.

Theft

Theft of funds was reported Wednesday, Aug. 14, at 8:01 a.m. in the 9700 block of County Rd. 101. The reporting party stated that sometime between 6:45 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13, an unknown suspect had broken the window of their vehicle and took a purse. The purse contained nothing of value except a checkbook. The reporting party called back later in the day to report that a suspect had attempted to cash two checks; however since the account was already closed, the suspect was unsuccessful. The case has been forwarded to the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office for investigation.

Medicals

The department responded to a medical emergency Tuesday, Aug. 13 at 10:18 a.m. in the 19600 block of Larkin Rd. An 81 year old male was short of breath. The patient was transported to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale by North Ambulance.

The department responded to a medical emergency Tuesday, Aug. 13 at 11:07 p.m. in the 23100 block of Meadowview Dr. A 54 year old male was possibly in diabetic shock. The patient was transported to Maple Grove Hospital by North Ambulance.

The department responded to a medical emergency Sunday, Aug. 18 at 9:28 a.m. in the 19600 block of Larkin Rd. A 72 year old male was having strong stomach pains. The patient was transported to Maple Grove Hospital by North Ambulance.

Miscellaneous

The department responded to a report of loud music on Monday, Aug. 12 at 5:28 p.m. in the 7800 block of Maple Hill Rd. The reporting party stated there was a vehicle sitting on the road with very loud bass music.  Before Officers were on scene, the reporting party called and stated the vehicle had left the area.

The department responded to a report of a 911 hang up on Monday, Aug. 12 at 6:38 p.m. in the 10400 block of County Rd. 19. Dispatch advised there was a 911 call where the person said they needed help and then hung up the phone. Officers arrived on scene and found an intoxicated 43 year old female in the residence. The female refused assistance.

The department responded to a report of an unwanted person on Monday, Aug. 12 at 6:39 p.m. in the 9700 block of County Rd. 101. The reporting party stated there was a male that they would like removed from the business. The reporting party stated the male has been asked the leave the business before. The male would sit in the parking lot getting intoxicated and then goes into the business and makes the patrons uncomfortable by begging for drinks and speaking with the females. The Officer arrived on scene and asked the male to leave. After speaking with the Officers, the male got on his bike and left the business.

The department responded to a report of fireworks on Monday, Aug. 12 at 9:53 p.m. in the 7800 block of Maple Hill Rd. The reporting party stated someone was setting off fireworks in the area, possibly in the trailer park. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate anyone setting off fireworks at that time.

The department responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Wednesday, Aug. 14 at 9:34 a.m. in the area of Nystrom Lane. The reporting party stated there was a white cube/panel van parked on Willow/Nystrom and had been there for over an hour. The vehicle was gone on the Officer’s arrival. The reporting party stated the vehicle had left approximately two minutes after they called it in. The vehicle had left southbound on Willow towards Highway 55. The Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the suspect vehicle.

The department responded to a report of a child custody issue on Thursday, Aug. 15 at 1:38 a.m. in the 65XX block of County Rd. 101. The reporting party stated their son had not gone with them for their court-appointed parenting time. The Officer advised that this is a civil matter and the police could not force their son to go with her. The reporting party was advised to speak with their attorney regarding this issue.

The department responded to a report of shots heard on Saturday, Aug. 17 at 2:08 a.m. in the 7800 block of Maple Hill Rd. The reporting party stated they heard some kind of animal and then about 20 shots coming from the field. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate anyone shooting in the fields to the north or south of the residence.

The department responded to a report of a wire down on Saturday, Aug. 17 at 12:45 p.m. in the area of County Rd. 19 and County Rd. 50. The reporting party stated the poles and lines have been down for nearly a week. CenturyLink was been notified. There are no identifiable suspects at this time.
