CROSS staff ‘floored’ by donation

Whether the facility in question is a corner store or a vast warehouse, good sanitation is always a priority. The Tennant Company, a Minnesota-based cleaning equipment manufacturer, recently donated a new floor scrubber to CROSS. Recently, the CROSS warehouse layout was adjusted as we changed to a self-selection shopping model. This new piece of equipment will allow CROSS to keep the warehouse clean even with the increased traffic due to the change.

Earlier in July, CROSS participated in the annual Pierre Bottineau Parade during Maple Grove Days. As part of the rebranding process, which includes a facility renovation and a new logo, CROSS has updated its parade float to reflect recent changes. Volunteers constructed the new float, which is designed to represent the various services we offer, including food, clothing, seasonal children’s programs, limited financial assistance and Meals on Wheels service.

Now based in Rogers, CROSS has been operating for nearly four decades. It is one of the few providers of assistance in the northwest Hennepin County area, as well as the sole food shelf servicing Corcoran, Dayton, Maple Grove, Osseo, Rogers and west Champlin. Over 600 families each month benefit from services provided by CROSS, which is supported by volunteers and community donations from businesses, churches, schools, and other organizations.
