With the 2013-14 school year less than six weeks away, this year’s senior athletes will have big shoes to fill in more ways than one – literally.

Twelve senior athletes from the Class of 2013 were honored this past school year during its annual Three Sport Banquet, held at the end of the school year.

Eight of the 12 honored were introduced at the banquet from the coach of their choice in honor of being a three-year, three-sport athlete. Each recipient received a special plaque, a St. Michael-Albertville blanket, as well as a $500 scholarship from the coaches association.

Austin Brouillette (football, basketball tennis), Brian Ferry (football, basketball, track and field), Owen Gammell (football, wrestling, baseball), Beth Hinkemeyer (cross country, hockey, track and field), Cole Krutzig (football, basketball, track and field), Aaron Michaelson (football, hockey, baseball), Maddi Sjelin (cross country, hockey, track and field) and Courtney Woodis (cross country, hockey, track and field) were the eight honored for their three years of service in three different sports. Also honored for their participation as an STMA three-sport athlete were David Anderson (soccer, hockey, track and field), Tony Bork (football, hockey, track and field), Mitch Coulson (cross country, basketball, track and field) and Erik Johnson (football, basketball, track and field).
