Osseo Police

The following is a synopsis of some of the incidents that occurred in the City of Osseo from May 30 through June 12, 2013.

Arrests:

Osseo Police arrested an 18-year-old Maple Grove man on May 30 for damage to property. The male is also a suspect in several other damage to property incidents around Osseo. A 17-year-old female was also identified as a suspect. The incident is currently under investigation.

Osseo Police arrested a 49-year-old Osseo woman on June 1 on the 400 block of Fifth Avenue N.E. for gross misdemeanor second degree DWI. She was booked at the Brooklyn Park jail and her vehicle was also seized.

Osseo police arrested a 32-year-old Maple Grove women on June 1 for felony first degree DWI, gross misdemeanor child endangerment, gross misdemeanor driving after cancelation, property damage hit and run accident and possession of drug paraphernalia after Osseo Police stopped the woman on County Road 81. She was booked at the Hennepin County Jail in Minneapolis. The case is currently under investigation by Osseo Police, Minnesota State Patrol and the Hennepin County Detectives.

A 37-year-old Brooklyn Park woman was arrested on June 2 for gross misdemeanor third degree DWI and third degree refusal to test on the 100 block of Broadway Street W. She was booked at the Brooklyn Park jail and her vehicle was also impounded.

A 28-year-old Osseo woman was arrested on June 4 on the 500 block of Third Street N.E. for driving after revocation and no insurance. Her vehicle was impounded and she was released with a citation.

A 21-year-old Champlin man was arrested on County Road 81 for possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle on June 8. He was released with a citation.

A 19-year-old Maple Grove man was arrested on June 11 for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute for sale. He was booked at the Hennepin County Jail in Minneapolis. The case is currently under investigation by Osseo Police and the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office.

A 23-year-old Osseo man was arrested June 12 on the 100 block of Third Street N.W. for  a fifth degree domestic assault after Osseo Police responded a domestic disturbance call. The male was booked at the Brooklyn Park Police Department.

Incidents:

Osseo Police responded to a disturbance at the Osseo High School on May 31. The incident was mediated by police. No charges apply.

Osseo Police located a unsecured door to a business on June 4 while on a routine foot patrol on the 200 block of Central Avenue. The building owner was contacted to lock the door.

Osseo Police responded to a welfare check of a male sleeping at Sipes Park on June 4. The person was interviewed by police and advised to leave.

A theft of clothing and a cell phone was reported to Osseo Police on June 6 from a locker at the Osseo High School. The case is under investigation by the School Resource Officer. There are no suspects.

Osseo Police responded to a alarm at the former Osseo Elementary School on June 7. The alarm was accidently set off by a maintenance worker.

Osseo Police responded to a welfare check of a heavily intoxicated male on June 8 on the 200 block of Fourth Avenue S.E. The male was transported to North Memorial Hospital on a health and welfare hold.

A open door was found while Osseo Police were on a foot patrol June 8 on the 200 block of Central Avenue. The building key holder was contacted to secure the building.

A bicycle was reported stolen from the Osseo Junior High School on June 12. There are no suspects.

A purse was reported stolen from the 500 block of Second Street S.E. on June 12. There are no suspects.

Medicals:

Osseo Police responded to a report of a 71-year-old female that fell and broke a hip at Osseo Methodist Church on May 31. She was transported to the hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 51-year-old male feeling dizzy on the 600 block of North Oaks Drive on June 3. He was transported to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to an 89-year-old male feeling ill on the 600 block of First Avenue N.E. on June 4. He was transported to North memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to an 81-year-old male that fell on the 100 block of Sixth Avenue N.E. on June 4. He was transported to North Memorial Hospital in Maple Grove by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to the Osseo High School on June 6 for a 73-year-old male that popped his hip out. He was transported to North Memorial Hospital in Maple Grove by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to an elderly female feeling dizzy on the 500 block of Second Street S.E. on June 8. She was transported to Methodist Hospital by North Ambulance.

Accidents:

Osseo Police responded to a two-car property damage accident at County Road 81 and Central Avenue on June 4. One driver was issued a citation for failing to stop for the red light. Both drivers exchanged information and one vehicle was towed. A state accident report was filed.
