Gluten friendly menu tasting
MAY 16 — Broadway Pizza, 5632 W. Broadway Ave. in Crystal, will host a Gluten Friendly Menu Tasting event Thursday, May 16, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Menu includes appetizers, chicken pesto salad sandwich, Italian hoagie, bruschetta burger, cheesy baked shells and a variety of pizzas. Sale at Shepherd of the Grove
MAY 18 — The ninth annual Shepherd of the Grove Garage Sale will take place Saturday, May 18, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, located off of Eagle Lake Drive and Hemlock Lane. Enjoy this one-stop-shopping rummage sale experience, including furniture, tools, wall art, housewares, books, clothing and much more. The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League has worked hard to make this sale a success, so come, be part of the experience and get great deals. Proceeds benefitting Shepherd’s Care Childcare Center and food for the homeless.

MAY 18 — The Perennial Plant Exchange in Maple Grove will take place Saturday, May 18, starting at 9:30 a.m. in the west parking lot by the skate park of the community center, 12851 Weaver Lake Road. Bring plants to exchange with other gardeners.

MAY 28 — The Maple Grove Community Organization is in the final stages of planning the Maple Groves Days Festival scheduled for July 11 to 14. Join the group for its monthly meeting held the fourth Tuesday of each month, this month May 28. All meetings are at the Maple Grove Community Center, 12951 Weaver Lake Road, at 7 p.m. There is no previous experience required to help plan the festival, just the desire to present Maple Grove residents with a festival that people of all ages can enjoy.
