Rockford’s Masons matching grant benefits food shelf big time

February is a huge month for the RiverWorks Food Shelf. The Rockford Masonic Lodge sponsors a matching grant through the Minnesota Masonic Charities. This year donations were received equaling $19,676.09, and the Minnesota Masonic Charities matched it dollar for dollar.

At the Rockford Mason’s Annual Pig Roast, RiverWorks was presented with a check for $39,352.

Denise Kesanen, RiverWorks Executive Director, said, “A huge thank you goes to our Rockford Masonic Lodge, the Rockford Lions Club, all the individuals, businesses and churches in the Rockford area whose donations made this happen. You are that hint of hope for families in our community.” All funds will be used for the RiverWorks Food Shelf in Rockford.
