Editor’s Note: The following contains some but not nearly all of the calls reported by Rogers Police from Monday, Feb. 25, through Monday, March 4.

Tuesday, Feb. 26

Officers notified by Rogers Police Chief of possible transients using an abandoned building near Main St and 147th Ave N, due to smoke coming from the chimney.  Officers checked the building and it was secure.  The building appears to be used during the day and nobody was located.

Officers called to business at John Milless Drive, a report on an unknown disturbance occurring inside. On arrival it was learned that a contracted driver through James Clark Transportation had arrived at Premier wanted to be paid for a deliver he made. He was a sub-contractor and needs to be paid through his parent business. He was very upset with that answer and became vulgar and made threats to fight the complainant. Suspect was escorted out of the business and left in a 1993 White Cadillac when the police were called. No charges. Complainant was advised next time to advise the suspect to leave or he will be arrested for trespass.

The reporting party called with questions concerning an alleged domestic incident for which a female acquaintance was the victim. It occurred early AM hours in Rogers at an unidentified townhouse rental which the victim leases with her ex-boyfriend (suspect). The reporting party alleges the suspect choked, stomped on the victims chest and pulled her hair out. He is attempting to convince her to seek medical attention and report the incident. The reporting party would not share victim/suspect information at this time. He was given process information along with Officer contact info and encouraged to have her checked and make a report..

Eric Wayne Rathbun, 37, was cited for driving after revocation at 141st Avenue and Main Street.

Police responded to a one-vehicle crash, a driver had minor injuries after striking a telephone pole, at Fletcher Lane and Territorial Road.

Robert Martin Puhr, 21, was cited for no insurance, and vehicle impounded, at I-94 and Main Street.

Steven Michael Thelen, 27, was cited for driving with a revoked MN driver’s license at Rogers Drive.

Wednesday, Feb. 27

Employee at 13550 Commerce Blvd. became hostile with manager after being terminated from employment. Employee drove recklessly through parking lot, re-entered business and was confrontational with manager. Employee was warned of disorderly conduct and served Notice of Trespass.

Dispatched to southbound Main Street at 141st Avenue North to assist Elk River Police on a vehicle that was not stopping for them. Vehicle stopped at I-94/Main Street. Driver and passenger were having a domestic dispute. Elk River Police mediated the dispute and the occupants were allowed to leave.

Officers received a call from Hennepin County Dispatch of a witnessed Hit and Run crash on North Hwy. 101, at the intersection with 141st Avenue North. Witnesses stated a maroon Chevrolet Malibu (or similar) had been rear-ended while stopped for the light. The striking vehicle (suspect vehicle) was described as an older Ford pickup, with a chrome bar on the front, with Montana registration. The suspect vehicle left the scene North on Highway 101. The Minnesota State Patrol indicated the suspect vehicle had traveled to Elk River and notified Sherburne County Dispatch. Elk River PD located the suspect vehicle after it was involved in a second crash in their city. Was later provided the information for the suspect vehicle and driver.

Thursday, Feb. 28

Tiffany Denise Lashalle Mcdougal, 32, was cited for driving after revocation at Main Street and 141st Avenue.

Learon Mayes, 35, was arrested at John Deere Lane and Main Street for misdemeanor warrant and violation of limited license, and transported to Hennepin County Jail.

A Rogers officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a female driver cut off another motorist on Hwy. 101 near 141st Ave. The driver identified herself with the ID of another person. The Officer discovered the true identity of the driver and arrested her for providing false information to a police officer, by using the name of a real person. Katherine Kay Yanez, 28, was transported to the Hennepin County Jail for booking.

Friday, March 1

James Anthony Bolduc, 48, was arrested at I-94 and Main Street for a warrant for no insurance, and was released with a court date.

Vehicle owner reported a theft from vehicle, glass broken and backpack stolen from interior, at 20600 South Diamond Lake Rd.

Daniel Edward Selix, 32, was cited for revoked driver’s license and no insurance, at Justen Circle and Linden Drive.

Nicholas Matthew Jaakola, 18, was cited after controlled substances were found in a vehicle at the 19500 block of Prairieview Dr., following a response to a loud party.

Saturday, March 2

Officers responded to a business at 13692 Rogers Dr. on a report of a fight that just occurred. The fight was between two males with unknown weapons. Officers checked the area for a vehicle that was involved but were unable to locate. One of the males was possibly wearing a jersey with orange on the end of the sleeves. A victim called in the following day to report a robbery and assault involving a suspect, known to the victim, had occurred in that vehicle. The case is being forwarded to Hennepin County Detectives.

Sunday, March 3

Kari Lee Johnson, 40, was arrested for DWI at 13028 Main St.

Amanda Jean Keuhn, 22, was cited for driving after revocation, no insurance and drug paraphernalia, at 141st Avenue and Main Street.
