The following incidents were reported by West Hennepin Public Safety between Jan. 27 and Feb. 2.


On Feb. 2, at 10:57 a.m. there was a report of a ring stuck on a swollen finger on the 4900 block of Macallister Drive. The victim was able to cut the ring but it was now digging into her skin. Maple Plain Fire used the “ring cutting tool” and removed the ring.

On Feb. 2, at 11:19 a.m. there was a report of a homeowner working on an old car doing some welding and grinding when he observed the flames in the vehicle on the 2200 block of Old Post Road. Maple Plain Fire was assisted by Mound, Loretto Fire Departments. Unknown loss.

On Jan. 27, at 9:05 a.m. a homeowner reported a 1 to 1 1/2 inch hole through the garage siding on the 1400 block of Halgren Road. Unknown cause that created the hole.

On Jan. 29, at 10:09 p.m. there was a report of harassment on the 1500 block of Howard Avenue. Renter stated she did not want WHPS to stop and see her; she just wanted to demonstrate she has the power to call the police and to not be afraid of us.
