Medals won by NSGA at Winter Challenge

North Shore Gymnastics Association’s (NSGA) Xcel girls Gold and Platinum teams had a strong showing at the Winterfest meet hosted by Perpetual Motion Gymnastics.

The Gold team won the second place team award with 109.350 points and the Platinum team placed first with 108.1.

Gold team highlights for ages 7-10 include Brigitte Albertson with a second place all-around score of 35.850 and Peyton Uelman in third in the all-around at 35.800.

Julia Fake placed second on the beam with a 9.050 and floor with a 9.100. Payton Sapletal had a strong showing on floor (9.050) with a third place medal.

Highlights on the Gold team for age 11 included Randi Bayerl second on beam, Alex Kline second on floor and Maddie Doshan third on floor.

In the Gold level age 12-plus the all-around winner was Holly Harrison with a 36.500.

In the Platinum standings for ages 11-12, first place all-around medal was awarded to Mara McCollor and third to Gabby Evans.

For ages 13-plus, Hailey Pugh placed second in the all-around with Piper Hennings third. Julia Dalluge won first on uneven bars.

The next competition for the Xcel team will be Sunday, Jan. 27 at the Bloomington Jefferson High School.
