The Rogers Royals gave up the first two goals, then buried visiting North Branch 13-2 at home on Thursday evening.
Nate Weber, junior forward, knocked in three goals, while Alexander Lorman and Spencer Marchand delivered two each.
The others came from Parker Veith, Jake Good, Jacob Walker, John Stanley, Connor Tokheim and Braden Cecil.
Blake Timm assisted on four goals and Mat Helickson and Marchand three each. Tokheim had two assists.
For North Branch (1-3), Jared Axberg and Ryan Zentner scored on power plays in the first 4 1/2 minutes. Rogers stormed back with six goals by six different players before the period ended.
The Royals finished with a 45-10 shot advantage. Brock Maxwell made eight saves in his first start.
In earlier action, the Royals absorbed their first loss, getting thumped by Mahtomedi 7-3 at home Dec. 4.
Mac Rathmanner and Matt Bonine knocked in two goals each for the Zephyrs, who were opening their season. Jake Erickson, Kellen Campbell and Trevor Keeney notched the other goals. Erickson had a short-handed goal and Bonine had a power play goal.
Branden Cecil and Connor Tokheim scored in the first period for Rogers (1-1-1), which led 2-1 at the first stop. Nate Weber (power play) scored in the third period.
Mahomedi outshot the Royals 29-23. Zephyr goalie Colin Davis stopped 20 of 23 shots, Rogers goal Blake Ternus 22 of 29.
Rogers (2-1-1) was next to play at Breck Tuesday evening, Dec. 11.
