Property damage

The department reported a property damage auto crash Friday, Dec. 7 at 6:30 a.m. in the area of County Rd. 116 and Meister Rd. The driver of the vehicle was northbound on County Rd. 116 near Meister Rd. when they struck a deer on the front passenger side of the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

The department reported a property damage auto crash Friday, Dec. 7 at 6:28 p.m. in the area of County Rd. 50 and County Rd. 10. The driver of vehicle #1 was westbound on County Rd. 50 and the driver of vehicle #2 was pulling out of a driveway, attempting to make a right turn to go eastbound on County Rd. 50. Vehicle #2 started sliding and made a 180 degree turn and driver of vehicle #1 could not avoid striking vehicle #2. No injuries were reported.

The department reported a property damage auto crash Saturday, Dec. 8 at 8:48 a.m. in the area of Bechtold Rd. and Rush Creek Dr. The driver of vehicle #1 was towing vehicle #2 northbound on Bechtold Rd. when vehicle #3 crossed over the center line and struck vehicle #2 near the axle. No injuries were reported.

The department reported a personal injury auto crash Sunday, Dec. 9 at 1:19 a.m. in the area of County Rd. 19 and County Rd. 50. The vehicle was north bound on County Rd. 19, ran off the road, into the west ditch and came to rest near a utility pole. The driver was arrested by Medina PD for DWI.

Theft

Theft of equipment was reported Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 9:20 in the 96XX block of Trail Haven Rd. The reporting party advised they had a set of Lano black pallet forks stolen from their property. Their security video shows the forks being taken on Thursday, Nov. 22. The case has been forwarded to the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office for investigation.

Theft of vehicle was reported Thursday, Dec. 6 at 8:13 a.m. in the 75XX block of Commerce St. The reporting party advised their vehicle was in the parking lot when they left work on Dec. 5, but was missing this morning when they arrived for work. The vehicle has been entered as a stolen vehicle.

Miscellaneous

The department responded to a report of a litter complaint on Monday, Dec. 3 at 9:37 a.m. in the area of 93rd Ave. The reporting party stated an unknown person(s) had dumped a small amount of construction supplies in their field. There are no suspects at this time.

The department responded to a report of a runaway on Monday, Dec. 3 at 5:24 p.m. in the 204XX block of Larkin Rd. The reporting party stated their 16 year old son had gotten into trouble at the neighbor’s over the weekend. The juvenile went to the neighbor’s to apologize and he isn’t home yet. The Officer spoke with the juvenile, the reporting party and the neighbor.

The department responded to a report of a wash down on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 3:37 p.m. in the 93XX block of County Rd. 19. A driver of a vehicle was pulling away from the gas pumps and had forgotten to remove the pump from their vehicle. The pump hose was pulled from the top of the pump. Gas pumps were shut off, Hanover Fire responded to the scene to clean up the spill. Insurance information was exchanged.

The department responded to a report of a civil issue on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 6:32 a.m. in the 78XX block of Maple Hill Rd. The reporting party advised their significant other had taken their vehicle rather than wait for them to drive them to work. The reporting party advised their significant other does not have a valid license. The reporting party advised they would retrieve their vehicle later this morning.

The department responded to a report of a fire on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 1:32 p.m. in the 195XX block of Larkin Rd. The reporting party advised their shed was on fire. The Officer arrived and found the reporting party was conducting a permitted burn when sparks from the fire ignited a nearby shed. The fire was extinguished by the Hamel and Loretto fire departments.

The department responded to a report of threats on Friday, Dec. 7 at 2:48 p.m. in the 78XX block of Maple Hill Rd. The reporting party advised that the suspect had contacted them again. The reporting party had previously reported a threats report on the suspect. The Officer asked if there was any specific threat and the reporting party advised the suspect just contacted them and they want the suspect to stop. The Officer gave the reporting party information on obtaining a harassment restraining order.

The department responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 7:21 a.m. in the 202XX block of County Rd. 10. The Officer checked on a vehicle sitting in the park. The Officer found it to be a private investigator working.

The department responded to a report of an assist on Sunday, Dec. 9 at 7:10 a.m. in the 205XX block of Horseshoe Tr. The reporting party stated they were in a ditch, very cold and had no idea of where they were. The Officer located the reporting party in a ditch at Old Settlers Rd. and Horseshoe Tr.

The department responded to a report of an assist on Sunday, Dec. 9 at 9:50 a.m. in the 63XX block of Horseshoe Bend Dr. The reporting party inquired with the officer on how to handle a domestic situation that occurred the day before.
