Rogers Police

The following represents some but not nearly all of the incidents reported by Rogers Police from Monday, Nov. 26 to Monday, Dec. 3.

Monday, Nov. 26

Officers and fire personnel responded to a 4-year-old child who had a seizure. Ambulance arrived.

Tuesday, Nov. 27

Dispatch advised of a theft of a cell phone from the AT&T store. A caller was following the suspect vehicle and an officer was able to make a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle. The phone was recovered by officers. Arrested was Phyllis Elaine Osby, 18.

Wednesday, Nov. 28

A juvenile was cited for inattentive driving after a property damage motor vehicle crash at 141st Avenue and Mallard.

Dispatched to Flame Metals, Ironwood Circle, for a 29-year-old male who had a head injury.

Burglary reported at 13000 block of Willandale Road. House with attached garage. Garage through personal entry door was accessed. Vehicles inside garage were gone through, with compartments left open and items disturbed. No items were reported missing at this point and party advised he would start locking his door.

Party called in reporting on a patient at a clinic in St. Michael who keeps calling in to the clinic (three times) with various medical and mental health type issues. Residence in Rogers was checked for party and her husband came to the door advising she is okay now and that she was sleeping upstairs, stating that she was just having a bad day. Said he would take her in or call for assistance if her symptoms worsen. Advised.

Christopher James Guertin, 27, was cited for shoplifting at Cabela’s and released.

Thursday, Nov. 29

Student reported a suspected fraud scheme after she replied to a job advertisement she received by email. Incident forwarded to Hennepin County Sheriff’s detectives.

Manager at Super 8 reporting found narcotics in a vacant room after cleaning. Past guest information shows multiple occupants that are from out of State (Michigan). Have contact number for card holder/payee, who will be contacted regarding contents of room. Unknown exact identity of suspect/s. Items that were found, were turned over to police and put into evidence for proper disposal.

Friday, Nov. 30

Patrick Thomas Schultz, 23, was cited for driving after revocation at South Diamond Lake Road and Rogers Drive.

Rogers High School student reported violation of a Domestic Assault No Contact Order. There was a valid order in effect. Suspect had two individuals talk to victim to tell her that he was sorry and that he loved her. Suspect was arrested and transported to Hennepin County Juvenile Detention Center.

Reporting party at Mallard Trail reporting her checking and routing numbers on a fictitious check with fictitious check numbers were fraudulently used at two locations (one in Rogers, one in Maple Grove) totaling $804.37 in losses from her checking account. Business where one check was used, was at Sam’s Club in Maple Grove. Fraud notified through reporting party’s bank and new checking account was established. Advised to monitor credit report profile.

Saturday, Dec. 1

James Allen Benedict, 51, was arrested for fugitive escapee at 12400 block of Buckthorn Circle. Suspect was located and taken into custody without incident. Transported to Hennepin County Workhouse.

Sunday, Dec. 2

Sarah Louise Valderrama, 33, was arrested for felony narcotics at 141st Avenue and Main Street. Vehicle was stopped for loud exhaust. Upon further investigation the driver was arrested for felony 5th degree controlled substance. The driver was booked into Hennepin County Jail to be held.
