The following public safety summary information from the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Unit is provided to residents as a public service. These highlights from Oct. 22 to Oct. 28, 2012, do not reflect all incidents handled or investigated by the HCSO during this time period.
In addition to the law enforcement services it provides throughout the county, the HCSO provides primary patrol services for the communities of Hassan Township, Greenfield, Medicine Lake and Fort Snelling, as well as the Hennepin County portions of Hanover and Rockford.
On Oct. 27, deputies assisted Dayton PD on the 19000 block of County Road 81 with a traffic stop. Deputies assisted with controlling a 26-year-old male who was arrested on narcotic charges and booked into the Hennepin County Public Safety Facility. Dayton PD is handling the follow-up and formal charging.
On Oct. 26, deputies responded to an address on the 7400 block of Mark Street for a report of shots fired. A neighbor called concerned with another neighbor who is was shooting a gun and thought he was shooting towards his home. Deputies spoke with the other neighbor and he had been shooting into the ground while sighting in his gun. All parties advised. No other action was needed.
On Oct. 27, deputies responded to an address on the 8000 block of Vernon Street for a medical. A 57-year-old male having chest pains. North ambulance arrived and transported him to Maple Grove Hospital. No other action was needed.
During the week of Oct. 22 to Oct. 28, 2012, Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies also issued or provided: six citations, seven assists and one property damage accident.
