NOV. 1 — The Fall Wine and Beer Tasting Event is Thursday, Nov. 1, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Daytona Golf Club, 14730 Lawndale Lane, Dayton. Fund-raiser to benefit Rogers High School Hockey. Featuring 60 wines and new autumn beers to sample, tasty appetizers, music and silent auction. Cost is $15 per person in advance, $20 at the door. NOV. 4 — The Land of Lakes Choirboys will be hosting a Pancake Breakfast & Christmas Boutique fundraiser Sunday, Nov. 4, from 9 a.m. to noon. The breakfast will be at The Land of Lakes Choirboys building located at 6437 Norris Lake Road (4 miles SW of St. Francis and 5 miles NE of Nowthen on County Road 24). Pancakes with homemade syrup, sausage, milk, juice and coffee will be served and the Choirboys will sing, all for a free will donation. For more information, call 763-213-8105.
Children’s music program
NOV. 5 — Our Kind of Day” is the title of a Kindermusik program at the St. Michael Public Library Monday, Nov. 5. The program will be offered twice, from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. and from 11:00 to 11:30 a.m. Kindermusik is for children ages 1 to 5 years old, together with their parents/caregivers. “Our Kind of Day” features music and activities that involve things that happen around the house at playtime, mealtime, clean-up time, bath time and night time. Ms. Sandy will lead the group through joyful activities using music and movement to nurture skills in the whole child: cognitive, physical, social, emotional and language. Children will be introduced to basic musical concepts and have the instruments and the structured free time to put those concepts into play. All the activities encourage discovery and exploration and foster sharing and social skills too. The attendance limit is 15 at each session, and registration is required. This program is funded in part with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. For additional information, contact the St. Michael library at 763-497-1998.

NOV. 7 — Hanover City Council meets Wednesday, Nov. 7, (special date due to Nov. 6 election) at 7 p.m. at city hall on 11250 Fifth St.
NOV. 8 — Corcoran City Council will meet will next meet Thursday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. at city hall at 8200 County Rd. 116.
NOV. 10 — The annual Mary Queen of Peace Holiday Bazaar will be Saturday, Nov 10, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the church hall at 21304 Church Ave in downtown Rogers. Crafts, baked goods, theme baskets and raffle items will be available. Early morning coffee and muffins with lunch at 11 am.
Holiday craft boutique
NOV. 10 — The Maple Grove Holiday Craft Boutique will be Saturday, Nov. 10, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Maple Grove Community Center, 12951 Weaver Lake Road in Maple Grove. Maple Grove Lions, Dandelions and Maple Grove Seniors are sponsoring the event. All profits from the table rentals will go toward community projects.
St. Paul’s craft/bake sale
NOV. 10 — St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Hanover is hosting its annual craft and bake sale Saturday, Nov. 10, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch menu includes chicken wild rice soup, chili, bbq sandwich, egg salad sandwich, bars, coffee and milk. All are welcome.
Artistry in Wood Show
NOV. 10 & 11 — Minnesota Viking Woodcarving Club, a non-profit organization, will be hosting its annual Artistry in Wood Show Saturday, Nov. 10 and Sunday, Nov. 11, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Southtown Shopping Center, I-494 & Penn Avenue S. in Bloomington. The show will also featuring Minnesota’s own nonagenarian, world famous chip carver Walt Grittner, as well as many other artists in wood from all over the upper Midwest. Shown will be many disciplines in wood carving including chip carving, relief carving, carving in the round, intarsia, marguetry, parquetry, wood turnings, bark carving, wood burning and other interesting crafts in wood.
Legion Veterans Day program
NOV. 11 — St. Michael American Legion is hosting a Veterans Day program at St. Michael-Albertville Middle School West (old high school) Sunday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m. Guest speaker is Chris Sauro. Music by STMA High School Chamber Singers and directed by Joseph Osowski.
NOV. 13 — Rogers City Council will meet Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. at the Rogers Community Center.

Osseo Book Club
NOV. 13 — The Osseo Book Club will meet Tuesday, Nov. 13, at the Edinburgh Golf Clubhouse, 8700 Edinbrook Crossing in Brooklyn Park. Lori Sturdevant, Star Tribune reporter and author of “The Pillsbury’s of Minnesota,” will be the featured speaker. The luncheon time is at noon with the speaker to follow.
NOV. 17 — St. Michael-Albertville Women of Today Fall Craft Show is Saturday, Nov. 17, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at STMA Middle School West, 11343 50th St. NE, Albertville. Overflow parking/shuttle from Albertville Primary School. New and returning crafters. Concessions available. Drop off location for Caring for Kids, Your local toy drive. NOV. 27 — A Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration is Tuesday, Nov. 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at St. Michael City Center, 11800 Town Center Dr. Join for a festive evening of caroling, children’s story readings and more. Free hot dogs, chili, cookies and hot beverages while supplies last. Brighten a child’s holiday by bringing a new unwrapped toy or children’s book for the Hanover Area Food Shelf.
