Rockford planning commissioner accused of possessing child pornography
The little community of Rockford was leveled an unexpected blow Wednesday, Sept. 12 when a home on the 3000 block of Robertson Court, a quiet residential area, was raided by the FBI with assistance from the Wright County Sheriff’s Office.
The intent of the search was to uncover child pornography.
Justin Hensley, 35, was approached by law enforcement officials at his place of employment in Plymouth, admitting to owning adult pornography, but nothing with underage images. A search of Hensley’s home and computers told a very different story, and Hensley was charged and taken into custody.
More than 100 computer files allegedly uncovered in the operation depict minors, gauged to be as young as five, in pornographic videos and images. Hensley is expected to be charged with 10 felony counts relating to the materials, and may face up to 5-years of imprisonment for each charge if found guilty.
The FBI is considering federal charges on this matter.
Hensley serves on the Rockford Planning Commission.
