Arrests & Citations

On Friday, Sept. 7, at 12:31 a.m. on the 100 block of Loretto St., Loretto, officers responded to a report of yelling outside of a residence.  Ronald Dallas Young, 25, of Loretto was cited for Disorder Conduct. Jessaca Kendyl Speikers, 19, of Loretto was cited for Underage Consumption of Alcohol.

Theft

On Tuesday, Sept. 4, at 11:31 a.m. on the 300 block of Lythrum Lane, a BMX bike, valued at $150, was reported taken.

On Saturday, Sept. 8, at 11:17 a.m. on the 200 block of St. John St, a resident reported witnessing a receiver hitch being take from his vehicle valued at $50 to $60.

On Saturday, Sept. 8, at 12:21 p.m. on the 2500 block of Morningside Rd., a resident reported identity theft after finding out that someone had opened a Verizon phone account using his name and social security card.

On Sunday, Sept. 9, at 12:04 a.m. on the 500 block of Highway 55, a window was broken on a vehicle and numerous medical supplies were taken.

Other

On Monday, Sept. 3, at 5:25 p.m. at Highway 55 and County Rd. 101, there was a report of a vehicle towing a flatbed trailer with a dog in a cage. The caller stated that it did appear the cage was secured to the trailer. Vehicle and driver were not located.

On Tuesday, Sept. 4, at 9:11 a.m. on the 1300 block of Blackfoot Trail, a large amount of asphalt was reported left of the side of the road.

On Tuesday, Sept. 4, at 9:59 a.m. on the railroad tracks at Sioux Dr., a community service officer noticed smoke coming from marshland between the tracks and roadside. He was able to extinguish the fire. He Hamel Fire Department arrived and soaked the area.

On Friday, Sept. 7, at 10:06 a.m. on the 200 block of Highway 55, there was a report of a customer not returning a generator that was rented. The customer claimed it last after having fallen out of her vehicle.

On Friday, Sept. 7, at 11:28 p.m. on the 300 block of Calamus Circle, officers received a call about possible breaking glass outside a home. Two vehicles were also reported leaving the area. Officers checked the area and did not find anything broken or any cars in the neighborhood.

On Saturday, Sept. 8, at 8:09 p.m. on the 4200 block of Foxberry Court, there was a report of a suspicious SUV driving around in the area. Officers arrived, but did not locate the vehicle.
