Services for Albert Harold Deisting, 86, of Buffalo, Funeral were Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greenfield.
Rev. Dennis K. Strong officiated at the funeral service. Interment followed at Salem Lutheran Cemetery.
Organist for the funeral service was David Farstad. Congregational hymns were “Beautiful Savior,” “What A Friend We Have in Jesus” and “I Know That My Redeemer Lives.”
Casket bearers were Dwight Deisting, Bob Klatt, David Klatt, Ken Klatt, Ted Levens and Tim Levens.
Mr. Deisting died Monday, Aug. 20, 2012.
The son of Christ and Bertha Deisting, Mr. Deisting was baptized by Rev. W.P. Haar Sr. He was also confirmed in the Christian faith at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greenfield, and has been a life long faithful member.
On May 3, 1952, Albert H. Deisting and Phyllis M. Asplund were joined in holy matrimony at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Hopkins. God blessed their marriage in many ways, including the gift of three sons Gary, Randy and Mark.
Mr. Deisting was a dairy farmer in Buffalo. Farming was his life and hobby. Along with farming he enjoyed playing cards, socializing with family and friends, and in later years, spending time with his four grandchildren. While farming kept him busy, Albert and Phyllis also loved to travel and were able to visit all 48 lower states, Canada and Mexico.
Survived by loving wife of 60 years, Phyllis M. Deisting; sons, Randy (Nancy) Deisting of Buffalo and Mark (Charlene) Deisting of Maple Grove; grandchildren, Ashley and Michael; Allison and Missy; sister, Elaine Klatt of Buffalo; brothers, Carl (Betty) Deisting of Willmar and Robert (Dolores) Deisting of South St. Paul; other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by son, Gary Deisting; his parents, infant brothers, Herbert and Ervin; brother, Walter and sister, Leona Klatt.
