Sunny weather in the 80s, good crowds, live music and fireworks made for another successful Corcoran Country Daze.
The NW Area Jaycees Club hosted the ninth annual Corcoran Country Daze Friday and Saturday, Aug. 17 and 18.
This year’s event featured activities carried from years past, such as the Free Family Day, craft show and classic car show, but there were new opportunities as well, like the trout fishing pond.
Entrance to the event was free, including live music from Stampede and Roy Dawson & the Bootlegggers. And back again were fireworks Saturday night.
All activities took place at the Corcoran park and ball fields.
Softball first place was Get Auto of Corcoran, second place was J Zac of St. Michael, and third place was Asian Foods of Corcoran; and consolation was the Bombers of Hanover.
Blood donations were also received again this year. Donations were enough to save 61 lives.
