Trap Shoot to benefit Delano PIE efforts
Delano Partners in Education (DPIE) and Delano Lions will hold their eighth annual Benefit Trap Shoot from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at Park Gun Club located near the intersection of Highway 12 and County Road 6.
The Delano Lions will partner with DPIE for the first time this year. All proceeds go to the Delano Partners in Education to support their activities.
The entry fee of $40 for adults and $20 for students pays for one 25 round shoot, food and drink. Additional rounds are $10. The food menu includes hamburgers, brats, other food items and beverages. In addition all shooters will be eligible for a wide array of door prizes from Dicks Sporting Goods, Cabelas, and many local merchants who traditionally support the event.
A silent auction will include a Minnesota Vikings autographed jersey from Jared Allen, along with other interesting and valuable items.
Mike Bauer, a Lions representative working the event, said, “This is a great event. Shooters of all abilities will enjoy the day. There will be excellent instruction for beginning shooters. I started participating in this event several years ago and my son, Jake, and I have had a great time. I am pleased that the Delano Lions are now part of the event.”
In addition to traditional trap shooting there will be Annie Oakley, wobble trap and doubles events.
