Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office

The following public safety summary information from the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Unit is provided to residents as a public service. These highlights from Aug. 6 to Aug. 19, 2012, do not reflect all incidents handled or investigated by the HCSO during this time period.

In addition to the law enforcement services it provides throughout the county, the HCSO provides primary patrol services for the communities of Hassan Township, Greenfield, Medicine Lake and Fort Snelling, as well as the Hennepin County portions of Hanover and Rockford.

Dayton

On Aug. 13, deputies responded to an address on Burns Drive for a male who was resisting officers on scene. Deputy assisted in securing the male. North ambulance arrived and took over the males care. Deputy stood by in case medical personnel needed assistance in securing the male. Deputy was advised he could clear and no more assistance was needed.

On Aug. 15, deputies responded to an address on Auburn Drive for a medical. A 57-year-old female suffering from severe neck pain. North ambulance arrived and transported her to North Memorial Hospital.

Rockford

On Aug. 17, deputies responded to an address on the 8000 block of Hwy. 55 for a verbal domestic. A boyfriend and girlfriend were having a verbal argument. The female agreed to leave the home for the night. No other action was needed.

Rogers

On Aug. 13, deputies responded to an address on the 21400 block of Diamond Lake Road for a medical. A 64-year-old male was having heart issues. North ambulance arrived and transported him to North Memorial Hospital.

On Aug. 14, deputies responded to a business on the 21500 block of Diamond Lake Road to assist Rogers PD with a robbery that occurred. Deputies spotted a vehicle that matched the description of suspect nearby and stopped the vehicle. The suspect was detained and later transported to the Rogers PD. A Hennepin County Sheriff’s Detective arrived and is handling the follow-up investigation and arrests is warranted.

On Aug. 15, deputies responded to a business on the 20200 block of Rogers Drive to assist them in a theft at the business. Two suspects were taken into custody. Both suspects were booked into the Hennepin County Public Safety Facility and held. Rogers PD handled the arrest.

Greenfield

On Aug. 8, deputies responded to an address on the 7500 block of Hwy. 55 for a possible domestic. There was no problem and no action needed.

On Aug. 10, deputies responded to an address on the 7100 block of Basswood Lane for a damage to property report. The homeowner reports overnight someone had damaged solar lights and mailbox.

On Aug. 10, deputies responded to an address on the 7000 block of Basswood Lane for a damage to property report. The homeowner reports someone had damaged the mailbox overnight.

On Aug. 10, deputies responded to an address on the 6700 block of Basswood Lane for a vandalism report. A male who had recently bought the home was vandalized with shaving cream and tree’s TP’d.

On Aug. 10, deputies responded to a business on the 7700 block of Hwy. 55 for a report of dishonored check. The business reports a male had issued a check for work that had been done on his vehicle, the check was returned by the bank twice. The deputy gave the business a packet explaining the process that needs to be followed and demand for payment needs to be completed. Male was advised to call back when paperwork and process has been followed with no response from suspect.

On Aug. 11, deputies responded to an address on the 4900 block of Pioneer Trail for a medical. A female reports her sister was intoxicated and unconscious. Deputies and other officers assisted the ambulance in loading her into the ambulance. She was transported to North Memorial Hospital.

On Aug. 12, deputies responded to an address on the 6000 block of 76th Lane for a theft report. The reporting party stated someone this past week had taken 12 gallons of gas from his boat while at the dock on Haften Lake.

On Aug. 14, deputies responded to an address on the 6900 block of Rebecca Park Trail for a theft report. A female reports cash was taken from her unlocked vehicle over night while it was parked in the driveway. A Hennepin County Sheriff’s Detective is investigating the incident.

Hanover

On Aug. 19, deputies responded to an address on the 10600 block of Ginseng Lane N. for a medical. A 23-year-old male was transported by North Ambulance to U of M Hospital for the medical condition he was suffering from.

Other

During the week of Aug. 6 to Aug. 19, 2012, Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies also issued or provided: 24 citations, 38 written/verbal warnings, four house/business checks, 16 motorist assists and three property damage accidents.
