A-H School Board recognizes JMS student for receiving ‘Green Award’

Peter Scheller, an eighth grade student at Jackson Middle School, A Specialty School for Math & Science, was recognized for his success at the State Science & Engineering Fair.

Scheller received Ecolab’s “Green Award” for middle school students his presentation comparing solar power to wind power. The award included a $700 cash prize.

Ecolab is a multibillion-dollar corporation headquartered in St. Paul. The company has been a major sponsor of the State Science & Engineering Fair for many years. The Green Award is given to the project that Ecolab feels will impact the environment in a positive way.
