Arrests & citations

On July 18, at 5:49 a.m. at Loretto Street and Medina Street N., a 20-year-old female from Loretto was issued a citation for underage consumption and indecent exposure.

On July 20, at 8:31 p.m. on the 3900 block Tomahawk Drive, charges are pending on DWI- suspicion of driving under the influence for Brandon Lonke, 21, from Delano.

On July 22, at 12:03 a.m. at County Road 101 and Lilac Drive, Craig Fuhrmann, 51, of Maple Grove was arrested for a DWI, blood alcohol content of .10.

On July 22, at 5:07 a.m. at County Road 24 and Parkview Drive, Maxwell Wingerd, 20, of Orono was arrested for underage drinking and driving, DWI-Not a Drop.


On July 22, at 11:33 a.m. on the 4400 block of Hwy. 55, there was a report of a burglary. Case is under investigation.


On Monday, July 16, at 8:52 p.m. on the 100 block of Clydesdale Trail, an individual was reporting she was on the phone with her mother when it sounded like the phone was dropped and now she was unable to make contact with her. Officer was able to make contact with her mother, who stated that the phone went dead. She was advised to let her know she was fine.

On Tuesday, July 17, at 10:07 a.m. on the 200 block of Mallard Lane, a dog was located in Loretto and taken back to its owner. The owner was cited for violating the city ordinance.

On July 17, at 10:49 a.m. at Pioneer Trail and Tomahawk Trail, there was a report of loose horses returned to the residence.

On July 17, at 1:25 p.m. on the 4700 block of Settlers Court, a suspicious vehicle drove through the neighborhood and stopped at a few residences and then left. The vehicle was not located by officers.

On July 17, at 1:58 p.m. on the 4400 block of County Road 19, a Loretto resident reported hearing a loud continuous booming sound starting at 5:55 a.m. and wants it stopped as it is waking her up.

On July 17, at 8:51 p.m. on the 4400 block of County Road 19, a caller from the 200 block of Mallard Lane in Loretto reports hearing a loud booming every 22 seconds.

On July 18, at 7:48 a.m. on the 4400 block of County Road 19, a passerby reported a sick raccoon walking in the baseball field. Officer was unable to locate the animal.

On July 18, at 4:37 p.m. at County Roads 11 and 19, an officer came upon a stalled vehicle blocking the eastbound lane of County Roads 11 and 19. The vehicle was being towed by another vehicle and the tow dolly had broken away from the hitch.

On July 18, at 7:17 p.m. on the 4100 block of Arrowhead Drive, there was a report of a large amount of smoke. Business had a valid burning permit.

On July 19, at 3:16 a.m. at County Roads 11 and 19, a passerby called to report two smoldering/burning towels. Loretto Fire Department responded and put water on the towels to ensure they did not start a fire. No known reason for the towels to be in the roadway.

On July 19, at 4:33 p.m. at Hwy. 55 and Tamarack Drive, a driver had been drinking was in violation of B-card. Case to be forwarded to the City Attorney for review.

On July 19, at 4:49 p.m. on the 1500 block of Tamarack Drive, there was a report of multiple gun shots heard by a resident. Officer was able to located where they were coming from and responded to the residence and discovered that the homeowner and his son were shooting a 22-cal long gun at a small target. Homeowner was advised that the discharge of a 22 is prohibited in the city unless he is shooting at a dangerous or pest animal.

On July 19, at 7:04 p.m. on the 500 block of Hwy. 55, a vehicle was opened without incident.

On July 20, at 12:48 a.m. at County Road 24 and Hunter Drive, an officer was advised of a drunk party walking down the roadway. The party was located by Plymouth Police in the city of Plymouth.

On July 20, at 11:45 a.m. at Clydesdale Trail and Hwy. 55, a dead coyote was removed from the roadway.

On July 20, at 2 p.m. on the 3200 block of Mill Drive, an on-going situation of dogs not leashed in the park.

On July 20, at 4:30 p.m. on the 4300 block of Wild Meadows Drive, an anonymous complaint of noise/loud music to the point that the caller can feel vibrations in the residence. Officer checked the location but could not hear any music or noise.

On July 21, at 6:19 a.m. on the 200 block of Saint John Street, an officer arrived on the scene of a 911 hang up and was unable to locate anyone at the business. The business was locked up and no lights were on.

On July 21, at 5:48 p.m. on the 100 block of Albert Street, an individual fell in the front yard when getting out of a vehicle and was unable to stand/walk on his own. Officers assisted in getting him into his home.

On July 22, at 1:18 a.m. on the 300 block of Medina Street, a reserve officer was unable to gain entry into a vehicle that a person was locked out of.

On July 22, at 6:50 a.m. on the 3200 block of Mill Drive, an officer responded to a report of four loose dogs at Hamel Legion Park. Upon arrival, officer was unable to locate the dogs.

On July 22, at 8:03 p.m. on the 200 block of Saint John Street, there was a report of a suspicious vehicle driving near the residence on numerous occasions over the past month.
