Dan Stoltz, SPIRE’s President and CEO, has announced that construction has officially begun on the credit union’s new Maple Grove branch. The occasion was marked with a groundbreaking ceremony and reception at the new location Wednesday, July 11.
“We have been a proud to serve the Maple Grove community since 1997,” said Stoltz, “Prior to this, we were in Plymouth, off Rockford Road. Our lease expired, and we moved into Maple Grove with little notice. It took a while to furnish the place, as I recall. We’ve liked the community so well, we’ve decided to stay, and we plan to be here for many, many more years.”
When complete, the new branch, located off I-94 at 9580 Black Oaks Lane, will replace the location at 13619 Grove Drive. The new branch will feature a modern design and a drive-up. Completion is expected in early 2013.
“If any of you have been to our gorgeous Eden Prairie branch, that’s what this branch will be modeled after,” Stoltz said. “It’s going to be great.”
“We could not have done this without our partners, all of whom have been wonderful to work with,” he added. “We want to give a special shout-out to HTG, our architects, and Greiner Construction, our general contractor. Cindy Owen, our facilities director, has provided amazing leadership throughout the entire process. We can’t wait to get Kristy Catt, our Maple Grove branch manager, a new branch to better serve our members.”
