Pawlenty defers $3.9 million in state funds for Delano Schools
The Delano School Board, Monday, June 22, learned that Gov. Tim Pawlenty has deferred $3,895,000 in funds earmarked for Delano Schools from Fiscal Year 2010 to Fiscal Year 2011.

Delano 4th of July continues with 5K race, parade and more The four-day Delano 4th of July celebration started on July 1 and will continue through this Saturday, July 4.

Hwy. 12 detour to resume at Delano beginning July 7 This spring's detour on Highway 12 at Delano ended on June 26 in time for a construction free Delano 4th of July celebration, but the detour will go back into effect on July 7.

DES playground closes July 6 for remodeling
The playgrounds at Delano Elementary School (DES) will be closed for remodeling, beginning July 6. They are expected to be reopened in early August.

Wright County learns governor's unallotment figures
In what is viewed as a move with little to no precedent, Gov. Tim Pawlenty announced the framework for his line item unallotment plans last week - his plan to balance the state budget for 2009-10. At the June 23 meeting of the Wright County Board, the commissioners found out how much the damage would be.
