No one was injured after a plastics production facility caught fire Tuesday, Aug. 8, at 22101 Industrial Blvd. in Rogers.
Officers responded to a reported electrical fire/smoke visible at the facility. Also dispatched was Rogers Fire Department.
Officers located a blown transformer on the south end of the building, and there were several small explosions as smoke billowed from that area of the building.
The building was evacuated and several area fire departments responded for mutual aid. The fire was extinguished.
Officers posted at entrance points and restricted access. An ambulance staged in the area for medical support.
The MN State Duty Officer was requested as the power company had concerns on the fluid expelled during the extinguishing of the fire.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
