The Anoka-Champlin Fire Department responded to the following calls during its second quarter (April, May and June): Five standby/police assists, four smoke/odor removal. 14 natural gas leaks, 15 system malfunctions, 15 false alarms, 20 canceled en route, three canceled en route medical calls, six good intent fires, three carbon monoxide calls, four service calls, 13 clean-ups after an accident, seven arcing/shorted equipment fires, nine power line/lightning fires, 12 medical assists, three smoke scares, four gasoline/liquid spills, one rescue/extrication, 30 unauthorized burns, four dumpster/trash fires, nine vegetation fires, two other equipment/cooking fires and four structure fires.
