Osseo Police

The following is a synopsis of some of the incidents that occurred in the city of Osseo in June 2017.
Arrests
A 36-year-old Brooklyn Park man was arrested on June 4 at the 10 block of Central Avenue on a Hennepin County misdemeanor warrant. He was released on bail.
A 53-year-old Osseo man was arrested on June 5 at the 100 block of Central Avenue on a Chippewa County warrant. He was transported and booked at Hennepin County jail.
A 21-year-old Brooklyn Park man was arrested on June 7 at the 400 block of County Road 81 for driving with a revoked driver’s license. He was also cited for no proof of insurance and possessing a small amount of marijuana in a motor vehicle. He was released at the scene.
A 26-year-old Brooklyn Park man was arrested on June 8 at the 200 block of County Road 81 for driving with a revoked driver’s license. He was issued a citation and released at the scene.
A 48-year-old Golden Valley man was arrested on June 10 at County Road 81 and Lakeland Avenue for driving with a revoked driver’s license. He was issued a citation and released at the scene.
A 56-year-old Columbia Heights man was arrested on June 11 at County Road 81 and 93rd Avenue N. for driving with a revoked driver’s license. He was issued a citation and released at the scene.
A 26-year-old Crystal man was arrested on June 14 at the 8500 block of County Road 81 for driving with a suspended driver’s license. He was issued a citation and released at the scene.
A 19-year-old New Hope man was arrested on June 14 at the 400 block of County Road 81 for driving with a revoked driver’s license. He was issued a citation and released at the scene.
A 30-year-old St. Paul man was arrested on June 15 at the intersection of 85th Avenue and Highway 169 for driving with a revoked driver’s license. He was issued a citation and released at the scene.
Four subjects were arrested on June 19 at 8400 Lakeland Avenue N. following a traffic stop for illegal window tint. During the stop, officers located a stolen firearm, methamphetamine, marijuana, and counterfeit currency. The suspects were transported and booked at Hennepin County jail.
A 46-year-old Brooklyn Park man was arrested on June 21 at the intersection of County Road 81 and Lakeland Avenue N. for driving with a suspended driver’s license. He was issued a citation and released at the scene.
A 24-year-old Brooklyn Park woman was arrested on June 22 at the 8300 block of County Road 81 for driving with a suspended driver’s license. She was issued a citation and released at the scene.
A 20-year-old Brooklyn Center man was arrested on June 26 at the intersection of County Road 81 and Central Avenue for driving with a revoked driver’s license. He was issued a citation and released at the scene.
A 27-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested on June 26 on Highway 169 at Brooklyn Boulevard for driving with a suspended driver’s license. He was issued a citation and released at the scene.
Incidents
An officer responded to the 300 block of County Road 81 on a possible theft in progress. The suspect was acting suspicious and staff believed that he may be concealing item(s). Surveillance showed that an item was missing, but it was later found near the front vestibule. Staff believed that the suspect knew he was being watched and left the item before exiting. The suspect has been identified. There are no charges.
An officer responded to the 100 block of Fourth Avenue N.E. on a theft from auto. The victim stated that her license plate registration stickers had been stolen sometime during the week preceding June 1. There are no suspects. The officer advised the victim to get the stolen sticker numbers from the DMV so they could be filed as stolen.
An officer responded to the 300 block of County Road 81 on a commercial intrusion alarm. The officer checked the premises and found that it was secure and there was no evidence of attempted entry.
An officer responded to the 8800 block of Jefferson Highway on an alarm covering interior motion. The officer checked the premises and found that it was secure and there was no evidence of attempted entry.
An officer responded to a bike theft report. The victim stated that the bike was left outside unsecured, but in an inconspicuous location. They noticed the bike was missing when they discovered another bike that did not belong to them in the same area. There are no suspects.
An officer responded to a burglary report at the 10 block of Fifth Avenue N.E. The victim stated that a bike was stolen from inside their garage. He believed the service door may have been left unsecured. The victim also discovered another bike that did not belong to him left in his yard. There are no suspects.
An officer responded to the 100 block of Central Avenue on a forgery report. The victim of an earlier theft from auto in Brooklyn Park reported that her bank card was used at this location. The officer was able to get surveillance footage of the suspect. The same suspect was later reported to have used the bank card in Elk River. Investigators were able to identify the suspect.
An officer responded to the 100 block of County Road 81 on a damage to property report. The victim stated that the fence to a storage area had been damaged; possibly by a vehicle. The victim also reported that an ATV had been moved. The officer discovered shoes prints left on the ATV; possibly by the suspect. Hennepin County Crime Lab processed the scene. There are no suspects at this time.
An officer responded to the 200 block of County Road 81 on a theft from auto. The victim reported that license plates were taken. The officer entered the license plates as stolen.
Officers responded to a domestic at the 400 block of Fourth Avenue N.E. Family members were being confrontational about a dispute over money. When officers arrived the reporting party, also involved, had left the scene. Officers mediated the situation.
An officer responded to the 500 block of Second Street S.E. on a threat report. The suspect threatened to cut the voice box of the victim. The suspect also told officers that one of his medications is cocaine and that he wouldn’t really hurt the victim because he is a black belt and his hands are registered weapons. The officer mediated the situation.
An officer responded to the 600 block of North Oaks Drive on a damage to property report. The victim stated that at some time after 2000 hours someone broke the rear window of his vehicle. No property was reported missing. There was no witness or suspect information.
An officer responded to the 100 block of Central Avenue on a physical domestic. The involved parties were having a dispute over their relationship. Both parties reported sustaining injuries during the altercation. One of which resulted from being dragged by a moving vehicle. Charges were submitted to the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office for second degree assault.
An officer responded to the 200 block of Fourth Avenue S.E. on a juvenile complaint. The reporting party told officers that juveniles were throwing fireworks at passing vehicles. The officer located the suspect and he turned over the remainder of the fireworks. The suspect was cited for possession/exploding of illegal fireworks.
Accidents
An officer responded to a property damage accident involving two vehicles at the intersection of County Road 81 and Fourth Street S.E. The officer facilitated the exchange of information and submitted a State Crash Report.

An officer responded to a property damage accident involving two vehicles at 260 Fourth Avenue S.E. The officer facilitated the exchange of information. Both drivers were cited for careless driving.
