Maple Grove Police warn of theft from autos

The Maple Grove Police Department has taken several theft from auto reports throughout the city that has been concentrated around the retail community. A majority of these thefts are crimes of opportunity were valuables are clearly visible to suspects, and they will quickly gain entry through unlocked doors or break out a window.

Additionally, the department continues to take theft from vehicle reports along with stolen vehicle reports from inside garages were the garage doors have been left open.

The Maple Grove Police Department wants to take this opportunity to remind the residences to not leave valuables inside their vehicles that are in plain view, to always lock car doors and please close garage doors.

As a reminder, if anyone witnesses suspicious activity in the retail parking lots, a theft in progress or somebody suspicious in a neighborhood immediately call 911.
