Osseo Police

The following is a synopsis of some of the incidents that occurred in the city of Osseo in April 2017.
Arrests:
A 33-year-old Osseo woman was arrested on May 5 at the 100 block of Seventh Ave. N.E. for domestic assault. She was transported to jail.
A 29-year-old Brooklyn Park man was arrested on May 12 at the 9000 block of 85th Ave. N. for driving with a suspended driver’s license. He was issued a citation and released at the scene.
A 28-year-old Plymouth man was arrested on May 12 at the 600 block of North Oaks Drive for domestic assault. He was transported to jail.
A 22-year-old Maple Grove woman was arrested on May 14 at the 10000 block of County Road 81 for driving with a revoked driver’s license. She was issued a citation and released.
A 36-year-old Elk River woman was arrested on May 15 at the 400 block of Third Street N.E. for driving with a suspended driver’s license. She was issued a citation and released.
A 20-year-old Brooklyn Park man was arrested on May 18 for driving with a suspended driver’s license; following a traffic altercation. He was issued a citation and released.
A 50-year-old Brooklyn Center man was arrested on May 19 at the 300 block of County Road 81 for driving with a suspended driver’s license. He was issued a citation and released.
A 59-year-old Osseo man was arrested on May 19 for fourth degree DWI at the intersection of County Road 81 and Central Ave. He is also being charged with carrying a weapon without a permit. He was transported to jail.
A 41-year-old Minneapolis woman was arrested on May 23 at the 400 block of County Road 81 for driving with a revoked driver’s license. She was issued a citation and released.
A 43-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested on May 27 at the 400 block of County Road 81 for driving with a canceled driver’s license. He was issued a citation and released.
A 56-year-old St. Anthony woman was arrested on May 29 at the 8500 block of County Road 81 for driving with a suspended driver’s license. She was issued a citation and released.
A 34-year-old Brooklyn Park man was arrested on May 30 at the 400 block of County Road 81 for driving with a canceled driver’s license. He was issued a citation and released.
Incidents:
An officer responded to the 600 block of North Oaks Drive on an audible residential alarm covering interior zone motion. All of the doors and windows were secure and no problems were discovered.
An officer responded to the 100 block of Seventh Ave. S.E. on a loud music complaint coming from a residence. The tenant was advised to turn the music down and the officer advised on the city nuisance ordinance.
An officer responded to the 100 block of Central Avenue on a gasoline drive-off. The driver attempted to pay, but said he forgot his debit card. He said he would return and pay, but never did. The officer was able to locate the suspect and facilitate the payment.
An officer responded to the 100 block of Central Avenue on a damage to property report. The reporting party stated that he threw a rock at a rat; missed, and struck a window. The officer later learned that the subject did not throw a rock, but instead shot a BB gun at the critter. He was cited in violation of city ordinance affecting peace and safety.
An officer responded to the 400 block of Central Avenue on a disturbance. Witnessed stated that an intoxicated male was yelling and making a scene. The officer transported the male and transferred custody to a sober family member.
An officer responded to the 500 block of Broadway Street E. on an unwanted person. When the officer arrived, the person was no longer there. The officer was given information on their whereabouts and found them in the area. He noticed that the subject was extremely intoxicated. The subject provided a preliminary breath test sample which measured .400 BAC.  They were transported to the hospital.
An officer responded to a damage to property report at the 600 block of North Oaks Drive. The victim stated that an unknown suspect; possibly an ex-boyfriend, ripped the exterior screen off her living room window. There were no witnesses The officer documented the incident.
An officer responded to a theft from auto at the 400 block of County Road 81. The victim reported that his vehicle’s window was broken and valuables were taken. The incident was partially captured by surveillance cameras in the area. This case is still under investigation.
An officer responded to a damage to property report at the 10 block of Fourth Street N.W. The victim stated that before walking off the job, an employee maliciously deleted files from a business computer; which were unrecoverable. The estimated value of the files and associated repair costs exceeded $1,000. Charges were submitted to the city prosecutor for review.
An officer responded to the 100 block of County Road 81 on an unwanted person. The reporting party stated that an unknown suspect was attempting to start power equipment that was outside the business. The suspect was gone when the officer arrived.
An officer responded to a theft report at the 600 block of North Oaks Drive. The victim stated that a cable service technician was in his apartment repairing a TV when he took a watch and eyeglasses. This case is under investigation.
An officer responded to the 300 block of Second Ave. N.W. for an assault. The victim reported that his arm was hurt after the suspect grabbed property out of his hands. Surveillance cameras told a slightly different story. This case is under review for possible charges.
An officer responded to the 10 block of Sixth Street N.W. on a disturbance. The officer made contact with a group outside the apartment and advised them to keep the noise level down.
An officer responded to a damage to property report at the 600 block of Second Ave. N.E. The victim stated that at someone threw a brick through her kitchen window. The victim believed the suspect(s) to be houseguests that frequent the property. The homeowner cleaned up the evidence prior to the officer’s arrival. No charges were filed.
An officer responded to a harassment complaint at the 100 block of Fourth Ave. S.E. The victim stated that his landlord was sending him unwanted text messages and called his employer after the victim failed to pay rent. The officer instructed the landlord to stop the malicious communications and advised on how to lawfully evict the tenant.
An officer responded to a theft from auto report at the 10 block of Third Street N.W. The victim stated that his backpack was stolen from the back seat of his open vehicle. A witness later reported that he saw the suspect leaving the scene in another vehicle. The officer was able to identify the suspect. After investigating, the officer learned that the victim and suspect were acquaintances and the victim lied about what was stolen. Both parties are being charged.
Accidents:

An officer responded to a property damage accident involving two vehicles at the 300 block of Central Avenue. The officer facilitated the exchange of information and submitted a State Crash Report.
An officer responded to a property damage hit-and-run accident at the intersection of County Road 81 and Fourth Street S.E. The victim described the striking vehicle as a maroon van. Officers were unable to locate the suspect vehicle.
An officer responded to a property damage accident involving two vehicles at the intersection of County Road 81 and Broadway Street W. The officer facilitated the exchange of information and submitted a State Crash Report.
