Osseo Police

The following is a synopsis of some of the incidents that occurred in the city of Osseo in April 2017.
Arrests:
A 28-year-old Brooklyn Park man was arrested on April 4 on the 8500 block of County Road 81 for driving with a suspended driver’s license. He was released with a citation.
A 24-year-old Robbinsdale man was arrested on April 7 on the 400 block of County Road 81 for driving with a canceled driver’s license. He was released with a citation.
A 23-year-old Brooklyn Center man was arrested on April 9 on the 8500 block of County Road 81 for driving with a revoked driver’s license and no motor vehicle insurance. He was released with a citation.
A 56-year-old Osseo woman was arrested on April 11 on the 10000 block of 93rd Avenue N. for driving with a suspended driver’s license. She was released with a citation.
A 31-year-old New Hope woman was arrested on April 11 at the intersection of County Road 81 and Jefferson Highway for driving with a suspended driver’s license. She was released with a citation.
A 33-year-old Maple Grove woman was arrested on April 12 on the 100 block of County Road 81 for a felony Hennepin County warrant. She was transported to jail.
A 42-year-old Robbinsdale woman was arrested on April 13 on the 7900 block of County Road 81 for driving with a revoked driver’s license. She was released with a citation.
A 40-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested on April 18 on the 100 block of Third Street N.E. for outstanding Hennepin and Anoka County misdemeanor warrants. He was transported to jail.
A 46-year-old Minneapolis woman was arrested on April 18 on the 8500 block of County Road 81 for driving with a revoked driver’s license. She was released with a citation.
A 24-year-old St. Paul woman was arrested on April 18 on the 8700 block of Jefferson Highway for driving with a revoked driver’s license. She was released with a citation.
A 56-year-old Brooklyn Park woman was arrested on April 22 on the 8300 block of County Road 81 for fourth degree DWI. She was booked and released.
A 28-year-old Brooklyn Park man was arrested on April 23 on the 8600 block of Jefferson Highway for driving with a suspended driver’s license. He was released with a citation.
A 26-year-old Elk River woman was arrested on April 26 on the 600 block of Sixth Avenue N.E. for receiving stolen property after being stopped in a stolen motor vehicle. She was transported to jail.
A 56-year-old Plymouth man was arrested on April 30 on the 8500 block of County Road 81 for driving with a suspended driver’s license. He was released with a citation.
A 33-year-old Brooklyn Park man was arrested on April 30 on the 8500 block of County Road 81 for gross misdemeanor driving after revocation. Formal charges were submitted.
A 47-year-old Minneapolis woman was arrested on April 30 on the 400-block of County Road 81 for driving with a suspended driver’s license. She was released with a citation.
Incidents:
An officer responded to the 600 block of North Oaks Drive on reported suspicious activity. The complainant stated that the subject was walking around the building and talking loudly on a cell phone. The complainant also believed that the subject was attempting to gain entry to the building by ringing apartment bells. The subject was gone upon the officer’s arrival.
Officers responded to an Osseo business for a silent hold-up alarm. The officers searched the building and found no problems.
An officer responded to an Osseo residence for a theft from auto. The victim stated that an unknown suspect entered the parked vehicle and stole a purse within the half hour prior to the 911 call. The officer was unable to locate the suspect.
An officer took a report of harassment. The victim stated that she received unwanted packages from a former friend. The victim had previously blocked the suspect’s number and social media account. The officer gave them information on how to obtain a harassment restraining order.
An officer responded to a theft of a license plate. It was unclear when the license plate was stolen. The plate is currently on file as “stolen.”
An officer responded to a residential burglar alarm. The officer searched the property and found no problems.
Officers responded to the 100 block of Central Avenue on a gas no-pay. The officer was able to locate the suspect and they returned to pay for the gasoline.
An officer responded to the 100 block of Central Avenue on a gas no-pay. The officer was able to identify the vehicle and mailed the registered owner a civil demand letter.
An officer responded to the 500 block of Second Street S.E. for harassment. The complaint alleged that employees were antagonizing a resident and recorded the incident on a cell phone. Following the investigation, criminal charges were submitted for review.
An officer responded to an audible burglar alarm at an Osseo business. The officer discovered an open door and conducted a search of the premises. Following the search, the officer walked through the business with a keyholder and no problems were found.
Officers responded to the 300 block of Central Avenue on a silent holdup alarm at a business. Officers searched the property and determined that the building was secure.
An officer responded to the 100 block of Central Avenue to check the welfare of a man who locked himself in a bathroom for 45 minutes. The officer was able to make contact with the man and determined there were no problems.
An officer responded to the 8800 block of Jefferson Highway for an assault. An employee reported being pushed by a man unknown to him. He gave officers a description of the suspect, but officers were unable to locate the man.
An officer was dispatched to a residential intrusion alarm. Upon arrival, the officer was advised by the homeowner that there were no problems and it was a false alarm.
An officer was flagged down by a passerby who informed him that there was an intoxicated female laying underneath a tree. The officer responded to the scene and was able to identify her through a third party. The subject was transported home and left in the care of a sober person.
While on patrol, an officer discovered an occupied vehicle parked the wrong way on a residential street. The officer learned that the occupants were only kissing. They were advised to go back to school.
An officer responded to a complaint of an intoxicated male punching holes in the wall and creating a disturbance at a residence. All involved parties were family members. The male was transported to a local relative’s home.
An officer responded to a report of a missing person who had not been seen for 11 days. The officer interviewed witnesses and learned that the subject was known to visit a residence in Minneapolis. Minneapolis Police did a welfare check at the residence and found the subject heavily intoxicated. They were transported to the hospital.
An officer was dispatched to an Osseo business for a forgery. The business turned over a counterfeit $50 bill that a customer had used to purchase lottery tickets. This case is under investigation.
Accidents:
An officer responded to a property damage accident involving two vehicles at the intersection of County Road 81 and Fourth Street S.E. The officer facilitated the exchange of information and submitted a State Crash Report.
An officer responded to a single vehicle property damage accident at the 8800 block of Jefferson Highway. The vehicle struck the railroad crossing signal arm. The officer facilitated the exchange of information and submitted a State Crash Report.
